Tony Greig: Well Herschelle Gibbs and Raul Dravid have revived this OD World XI innings with a massive partnership of 70 and counting. Gibbs has played quit outstanding following on from that great knock against Australia In that fantastic match hitting 50 from just 39 balls! Including 8 crunching fours and one huge six over 3rd man! Dravid has done exactly what he was there to do get Gibbs on strike and rotate the strike with 28 runs off 39 deliveries.

Match Presentation!

Tony Greg: Well we have just seen an incredible match down here at Taunton in this charity 20/20 match won by England over a One Day World XI side by 2 runs! If the losing captain Shaun Pollock could come up please.

Shaun that was a very close game! How do you think your side performed?

Shan Pollock: Seeing as we have only had a few training sessions together we performed fantastically! I thought Raul and Herschelle played outstandingly and a few of our bowlers performed well.

Tony Greig: No w moving onto the World Cup in the West Indies, how do you think your South African side will cope?

Shan Pollock: Well I believe our team is in great One Day form after that fantastic series against the Aussies! So I really do think we can go to the West Indies and come back with the trophy.

Tony Greig: And finally who do you think you will have to compete with to get that trophy?

Shan Pollock: Well most teams will put up a fight but Australia are always going to be up there, india are looking a very strong and young team and Pakistan with their experience will give any team a ride for their money!

Tony Greig: Thanks Shaun and good luck for the World Cup!

Shaun Pollock: cheers Tony!

Tony Greg: Now could the winning captain Andrew Flintoff come up please.

Andrew fantastic win for you there!

Andrew Flintoff: Yes that was a very good all round performance from the lads. I thought Strauss and Kevin batted fantastically and got us in a position to win the match.the two quickies harmy and Hogg bowled fantastically at the start. Jimmy bowled great at the end with those 3 wickets in his over! So overall a great day for English cricket!

Tony Greig: So how do you think this has helped to prepare for the World Cup?

Andrew Flintoff: It has prepared fantastically for the World Cup.We have seen players hit form and our team become a big unit again. if we continue this form we shall be hard to stop!

Tony Greig: And also with the ICC announcing the 2008 20/20 Championship in England do you think you will win that tournament if this 20/20 form continues?

Andrew Flintoff: It's a long way away but as it's on home turf and we beat a All Star squad yes I think we could!

Tony Greig: And finally with the ashes coming up who will win?

Andrew Flintoff: It's too hard to call but I believe the winner of the first test will be crucial and if we can work hard and win that test we will have a great chance to keep the Ashes!

Tony Greig: Thankyou Freddie and good luck for the Ashes and the World Cup!

Andrew Flintoff: Cheers Tony!

Tony Greig: And finally could Man Of The Match, Andrew Strauss, for his unbeaten 71 come up to to the stage please!

Great performance Andrew!

Andrew Strauss: Yeah I really hit some form with the bat today and enjoyed having a bit of a free hit!

Tony Greig: Yes you seamed to cope well against the quicker bowlers today!

Andrew Strauss: Well I'm used to facing the new ball in tests but it was nice to hit a few of the quickest and best bowlers away to the boundary!

Tony Greig: And finally what do you believe your chances are of winning the World Cup?

Andrew Strauss: Very high! We have performed well today and in the pakistan series so we are looking forward to the chance in the West Indies!

Tony Greig: Well done Andrew!

Andrew Strauss: Thanks

Tony Greig: Well that's all from us here at Taunton, until next time good bye!
