With over a week on the clock, the prevailing balance issues

i think the speeds are the issue with the less slip catches and caught behinds. seen many an edge in the game when the bowlers are in medium pace mode that edges and doesnt even get close to carrying to the slips due to lack of pace.

Unfortunately the detestable ai has killed my appetite for the game. I was playing a pro40 match as essex opening the batting alongside gambir. He began better than i did racing to 20 off 8 balls so i let him carry the charge which worked up until we were both in the 30's. He then proceeded to block 26 deliveries in a row, to make matters worse he then played about a foot inside the line of a delivery that pitched on leg stump and bowled him the rest of the inning followed a pattern of my ai teammates playing like morons and getting out.

The bowling is beginning to feel cheap as well what with the opposition ai being similarly braindead what with about 90% of my wickets being bowled or lbw due to the batsmen playing an odd mix of reverse sweeps and wild slashes during 4 day games. Initially the game was a massive hit for me but with an extended play time im dissapointed.

Another person mentioning the issue of the AI being bowled and LBW too much.

Still waiting on an official response on this. All I want is this to be acknowledged so we know that they'll be looking into it for patch 2 or a hypothetical patch 3.

Patience mate as Ross is not blind i bet he knows all about the issue as we all see it. They are dumb as simple as that, i always feared this as no cricket game has ever done it right but let's give them some time as this is not a simple fix like some of the other issues.:thumbs

I know and understand that it is a tough issue to fix, probably the toughest, but with their involvement around here surely they can give some kind of response. We at least know that the machinery underneath is pretty much spot on (I've given some beautiful edges, and the mechanics overall are the best I've seen in a cricket game*), so we at least know they have a great base to work from.

*I should point out that there is the odd bug with the underlying mechanics, particularly pace bowlers who are having quite severe issues with pace, stamina and recovery, and of course run outs, which haven't implemented the laws of cricket correctly

I read somewhere Ross wants us involved in the changers to the game for patch 2 and remember the runout bugs will be gone this week or next. Future looks bright.

Whilst they might bring down the number of run outs from the ridiculous amounts of direct hits, as long as run out law isn't properly implemented within the game there will always be issues, even if they are rarer.

The simply point is that the game simply doesn't understand run outs fully and Big Ant have yet to confirm that they understand that the issue exists.

For those wondering, the game is quite happy to give a player run out even after he has grounded a foot in the event that he is running in and his foot, having been grounded, is removed while he is still travelling forward (one example that is readily available is a player diving in and being given run out while getting up while the wicket keeper desperately mauls the stumps like a crazed axe murderer). The simply point is that once a foot is grounded, as long as they aren't attempting another run, they cannot be given run out, yet in the game they can. Simply "fixing the fielding" (which we are all looking forward too) won't fix that problem.

So hopefully we get some official confirmation that this issue, as well as the other mentioned in this post and others are actually recognised and being actively looked into.

With patch one out it'll be interesting to hear the key fixes that will be coming in patch 2 in the coming months.
