If Zimbabwe or Bangladesh had been in Group C instead of Kenya or Canada, I would have put either them with a good chance of upstaging the big boys. I think the Windies should be able to make short work of these minnows, though, unless their recent trouncing of India was just a one-time thing.

Group A is probably as easy as they come. Too bad Kenya has lost most of its touch.

Probably, but as Ponting has said that the associates shouldn't be playing in the World Cup, wouldn't it be great if Australia lost to Scotland or the Netherlands?

That would be priceless. I'd be first in line to sign up for it. :p

To be honest I don't think anybody deserves this World Cup title more than South Africa.

 No, that'd be a nightmare!

No more upsets from us, we already did the deed losing to Bangladesh, it's time for some other team to lose to them.

Well a lot of them are getting old. But I haven't heard too many cricketers announcing any such plans. Just Murali I think.

From my memory, I remember India losing an ODI once to Bangladesh, so at least another major team has lost to the minnows :D

I agree with most other people that this upcoming world cup will be the most exciting and most anticipated world cup ever if the pitches are well done. Unlike the 2003, all the 8 major teams have a chance of winning the trophy and I don't expect an Australian dominance like in the 2003 WC. I hope that one of the minnow teams such as Bangladesh, Bermuda or Kenya can cause an upset or two and qualify to the super 8 stages.

Sri Lanka has lost to them in an ODI since that day in Cardiff.

That was a few months before Cardiff. And it was really India's B team. Still a win is a win.
