Hi evreyone!, this is my post post here on this forum.

Australia are heavy favorites to lift the world cup again, but I think Pakistan will win the world cup.

It's a big assumption that England will even get through the first round.
What about an upset fluke into the semi's like Kenya?

am i an idiot for still believing England can win the world cup? i mean we've got KP

We could have Richards, Ponting, Jayusariya, Tendulkar and Lara as our top 5 and we still wouldn't win with our bowling attack.

One player doesn't make up a team. We've all seen that in the last decade with the WI, they have Lara who is one of the greatest batsman in history but their record has been poor until recently in ODI's.

Spot on one player can't win the WC by themselves, if the bowlers don't backup the batters then there is no hope.

Yep you'll notice that Windies winning games in the Odis lately is actually more down to the likes of Gayle, Taylor and Bravo all contributing instead of just Lara.

If say Strauss/Tresco/Cook/Bell (basically one of our openers :p ), a Lewis or Anderson and Freddie all perform as well as KP then we stand a chance, otherwise we're buggered :(

Zimbabwe have named their provisional 30 man squad for the World Cup, and only one of them played in 2003. Just shows how many players they've lost.

Alot of those players were young as well, bit of shame as those guys probably would have come good right about now and Zimbabwe might actually provide competition for their opposition.

The only way i see Indians winning this is an effort better than what they performed 4 years ago in Saf.

Tendulkar firing is a must.
We need powerful leadership from Rahul Dravid.
Middle Order-It looks strong on numbers, but they have to buck up if they want to stand a chance. Dada, RaRa, Kaifu, Yuvi, Dhoni, Irfan is what i'm thinking. Dhoni needs to perform outside india for once, or we shift him out for KKD.
Experiments- India experimented and got lucky in the 03. Kaif at 4 was the last one. Maybe Dhoni at 3 this time?

England have named their 30 man probables list: James Anderson, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Glen Chapple, Rikki Clarke, Paul Collingwood, Alastair Cook, Jamie Dalrymple, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Matthew Hoggard, Ed Joyce, Amjad Khan, Jon Lewis, Mal Loye, Sajid Mahmood, Paul Nixon, Graham Onions, Monty Panesar, Kevin Pietersen, Liam Plunkett, Matt Prior, Chris Read, Owais Shah, Vikram Solanki, Andrew Strauss, Chris Tremlett, Michael Vaughan, Michael Yardy

I'm sorry, but why does Giles remain?
