It was pretty obvious they would be in there so don't know why cricinfo put their names in the title. Should have gone Chris Harris and Tuffey in the prelim squad.
Geez NZ just keep poping up all rounder after all rounder. Mark McCullum and Mark Orchard being the latest.

Good old Chris Harris :D Should of been selected ahead of McMillan for this series to me.

Interesting Haddin has tried his hand at spin and did quite well in Grade cricket. This could get him a spot in the WC squad if he bowls more in FC/FRC as his batting this season has been good enough.

THE classification of Brad Haddin as an all-rounder is hardly novel, given his widely acknowledged abilities with bat and gloves. But, in recent weeks, NSW's occasional captain has played the role of all-rounder with bat and ball for his grade side, Eastern Suburbs, and enjoyed surprising success.

Rested from wicketkeeping duties in the lead-up to this week's Pura Cup match against Victoria, Haddin claimed 2-36 from 8.5 overs of finger spin - including the wicket of Sydney University centurion Greg Mail - in a losing Easts side. Haddin also scored 112 in the one-day match, continuing a phenomenal limited-overs season in which he has scored 327 runs in seven matches for the Blues at an average of 81.75 and a strike rate of 109.73.

It's below our Domestic comp (Ford Ranger Cup and Pura Cup) in terms of standards, all the NSW players have a grade side that they play for when they can and it's where NSW pick up and coming players.

So probably around the level of English country games.

Australia are getting silly now, their keepers are bowling spin now, when we can barely get one to do either.

It's just the smartness of Haddin :) He knows the selectors would like a backup keeper in the WC squad but they don't really want to take a keeper only. Still don't know how well he goes in the field which is the key for him to go as a batsmen and a keeper. Now if that goes well and he can get more wickets then that would make him very hard not to pick.

Intersting to note that Katich is having a meeting this week with selectors about his place in their thinking. im sure the world cup squad will come up in that meeting... oh how i hope :P

I believe this poll reflects the number of members from each country respectively on the forums...who else would vote for Bangladesh :D and its seems we dont have any members from Zimbawe

You are right Kelp,
but it also reflects the actual position that the World Cup might be in - in the last Four

I believe Australia,India,Pakistan and Sri Lanka/West Indies have a very good chance of making the FinalFour and my intuition tells me it would be an India Pakistan Final.

My intuition tells me you're an idiot because Australia are a country mile ahead of the rest of the countries.
