England arrives in Australia for the Tour

England have arrived in Australia today for the up-coming Tour which will involve the All important Ashes Series. England is lead by Michael Vaughan this time instead of Andrew Flintoff of last year as Vaughan was injured during last years Ashes Series. England come into Australia having a month's break after being defeated by Australia themselves in the Commonwealth Bank Series which really entertained the crowd as warm up matches for the Ashes. New Zealand were also in the Series, but were knocked out as Australia and England qualified for the Finals, which came down to the 3rd final at Adelaide, but it was Australia that prevailed.

England's sqaud is made up of alot of talent. Alot of good bowling, and alot of Batting power aswell. But the real big problem England have gone with 2 leg spinners in Ashely Giles and Monty Panesar, as both men have caused contriversy for the club. Ashley Giles has been in great form over the Commonwealth Bank Series, but Monty Panesar has been in great form in the County League for England, and both men have jumped on the plane to Australia, but Vaughan says that he will only have the 1 spinner in the team. With Pietersen as the back up Vaughan says that just one of them should play in the Ashes series, and he would rather have juts the 1 of them playing all 5 test series if they need to play 5 Test Series. England will prepare for the 1st game of the Series.

Chairman's XI have posted a good score after 50 Overs.

England look in trouble already in this Series, with Chairman's XI posting a pretty big score for England to chase at Perth. Chairman's XI have made 273 for England to win in 50 overs. B. Morris was the main contributor for Chairman's XI with 63 opening the batting this afternoon. G. Abraham the captain contributed to that total a resonable amount, with a 46 before he was bowled by Harmison and caught by Monty Panesar who also took the catch of S. Morton. P. Hewsen played well down the order of the batting aswell with 54 to his name, and again it was Panesar that took the wicket but this time lbw'ing Hewsen. Collins and Keeper Moore contributed to the score and run rate for Chairman's XI with Collins making 34 and Moore making 30. But Chairman's XI lower order really struggled against the fire power of Flintoff and Panesar at the depth overs.

England crumble in the 1st match

England have crumbled in the 1st match against Chairman's XI, After such a great start by England with Loye and Strauss opening and making a 100+ partnership, it was England rest of the batting order that really let the visiting team down. In sense this is how bad England went, Strauss was their highest run scorer with 61 and Loye was next with 54, its believable, but Monty Panesar, was their 3rd highest score runner with 23, now that is hard to believe.
F. Thomas played awsomely for Chairman's XI with 4 wickets, but all eyes were on Monty Panesar at the end of the day, hitting 23 from 27 including 4 fours. Panesar edged the balls for four every time. But in the end of the day Strauss and Loye played good innings for England, and England have suffered their 1st defeat on the Series,

ouch, england losing like they did in real life

Lol true, England were hopeless in that match, was suprised Monty didnt grab the man of the match. 3 wickets and made 23 runs to his side would of been happpy to grab the man of the match award with his 1st game back im sure. He also took 2 catchs in the match. Was outstanding.

England star the day off with a bang
(Lunch Day 1)

England have come out today against Western Australia, and at Lunch England are looking to post a huge score for Western Australia to chase. After 35 overs Lunch was called and England are 1- 137. England have posted this score thanks to Andrew Strauss, Marus Trescothick and Michael Vaughan. The 1st wicket fell late in the tesn's For England with Andrew Strauss playing a on side shot that was pitched short, thought he could get it over the top of the fielders which surropunded the pitch, but missed timed the ball, got a edge which landed in the hands of Damien Martyn. Edmondson was the bowler for Western Australia as Strauss was gone for 48. Andrew Strauss looked in good form out in the middle, after having a good series in the Commonwealth Bank, Strauss would of been dissapointed to get out so quickly after looking good out in the middle. Andrew Strauss pretty much ran a run for every ball that he faced. Played 50 balls, and hitting 5 boundaries for his Innings, but no sixes Strauss was in good form, but fell at the crucial time.

Andrew Strauss looked good for England, but being bowled by Edmondson and caught by Martyn unluckily

Marcus Trescothick was back in the England side after missing the Commonwealth Bank Series with a knee injury, was again opening the batting with fellow opener Andrew Strauss as England prepare for the Ashes Series. Trescothick started off slowly, as most of the attention was drawn to Strauss playing the good knocks, and Trescothick just watched and tagged along, just saving the bad balls, and juts running the singles. Trescothick is now out in the middle after lunch with new batter Vaughan, and is looking to porduce a resonable score for his game back. Now on 48 just 2 shy of the Half Century, and if so, will be the 1st England to reach the Half Century mark in this Series, as Strauss was looking to be that player but fell 2 short. Trescothick has faced 101 balls, like i said, has been very watchful of the ball today, not taking any risks, but in saying that, Trescothick has hit 4 boundaries in his Innings.

Marcus Trescothick hasnt missed a beat of Cricket, making 49 before lunch on day 1

Michael Vaughan is the new batsman at the crease as he replaces Strauss who was caught by Martyn and bowled by Edmondson. Vaughan straight away showed he was in form out in the middle of the ground, and at lunch is 36 not out, facing 59 balls and also hitting 4 boundaries in his Innings, Trescothick and Vaughan looking dangerous for England.
