Any official word as to why no Indian players in that team?

Is it a world XI with the Indians out?

India doesn't allow its players in another league, same reason why none of them play in the Carribean or the Brisith T20 league etc.

The Indian government wouldn't allow it, and there would be more risk for Indian players. So i think it's good that they aren't there, not because i don't want them to be, just because of security.

I am pretty sure its the political reason. If politics did not ruin both countries these two would have played so many cricketing series. India has toured Pakistan and Pakistan has reciprocated as well. No excuses as an Indian other then political reason for no Indian players. Also getting Pakistan(grounds) back into cricketing world it does not need India, rest countries are helping and that is more then enough. India is not going to tour Pakistan and vice-verse, so no point in having Indian players. If players like Du-Plessis, Amla get confident who knows SA tour of Pakistan would be on card.

Dont want to go off track here but it kinda seems nonsensical having a World IX without Indian players.

I just hope they're not locked away in hotels for the whole tour. They should have some events with them, but sadly they're just here for about 5-6 days
