WorldWide Spinners?

Monty is so overrated it really is quite funny. He is either too short or too full and anything in between doesn't spin. The way the Lankans played him in the past series was embarrassing for the poor guy.

Monty doesn't spin the ball :D

Well they dont fall from sky. If there was then we would have seen him by right now.

cullen is good for south australia but dosent play as much as he did because south australia plays 4 seamers cullen probally 3rd in line for australia spinner spot and cameron white is a good spin bowler

Actually MOnty has normal Wrist unlike MURLI!!!Anyway he can spin more than J SNAPE and all the other option which england have for spin!!

Snape has no chance for England, he's way too old. England should be looking forward to Rashid and (if he develops) Munday.

Tredwell is in the England ODI squad but he's not a great wicket taker and I don't really see him as a test bowler although he can bat a bit.

the powerplays are not really helping spinners and to add to that the mandatory change of ball after 35 overs,no wonder their is a dearth of quality spinners.

I don't reckon the latter becomes a factor, but the first one, yeah. It's a shame the spinners overs get pushed back. I've seen spinners have a crack inside the 3 man powerplay though. Murili often does it. One or two overs of that can be a good ploy to attack if you have a quality spinner.

well monty doesnt get huge turn to be fair, but can some times get some extra bounce and uses his arm ball very well

Ask Mohammed Kaif or Younis Khan. ;) He will get some balls to turn enough on hard surfaces but as you said the bounce and his high action can cause batsmen real problems.
I'm not sure his arm ball is intentional. I think its a slow left arm delivery that doesn't spin.

im sure at times he does bowl some which dont spin, but one of montys biggest strengths is his consistant action, which give him great control ove line and length, but also over the amount of spin he uses, he obviously cant bowl a wrong-un and ive always been under the impression that his arm ball is intended

and was it Younis Khan who monty was bowing at when he got warned for 1 bouncer in the over last year? i remember it happening but cant remember who was batting

I'm not sure its an intention arm ball he bowls. I think the ball hits the rough and sometimes it just doesn't spin.

I don't remember Monty being warned for bowling a bouncer. He bowled Younis Khan a beauty which pitched middle and leg and hit the top of off stump. He also did the same to Mohammed Kaif in his first test match in India.
