Thanks a lot :cheers

I am going to recreate all the series that is going on at that time and play it out. Also some of the series's in recent time like saf vs ind as saf and the last ashes series as england in highest difficulty and see if i can even win one test, which i will consider as a successful tour for england.

I am going to set up series of historical teams to see which was the greatest real life team i.e. the invincibles vs the early 80's west indies.

Is player fatigue factored in if the games a team plays on tour are quite close together... e.g only a 2 day gap between 5 day tests vs say a week off..

Can you create the following teams as part of setting up the series?

1. Bradman's invincibles from 1948.
2. SA's team from 1970 which beat Aussies 4-0.
3. WI from 80s with those ferocious fast bowlers.
4. Steve Waugh's Australia from early 2000s.

I would love to face these teams and maybe simulate a series amongst these teams to see which one was the best of all times :yes

On a side note.. speaking of Steve Waugh.. I rocked up to my club game yesterday to find the man himself at the ground.. heart jumped in my throat thinking our opponents added him to their 11... turns out waughs son was playing in the juniors game before ours!!!

You should have said something about the game, still Steve Waugh was always a legend but not a huge talker.:D

Steve Waugh is my favourite cricketer of all time and I can't stand a word said against him. Absolute legend, on and off the field, and perhaps the greatest captain of all time.

Which is quite odd, considering the 90s and all that...

Just go up to him, "Hey are you Mark's brother? I'm a big fan of his, say hi for me!"

Would be cool in future iterations if you could hang on to your original test hat and have it fray over the years of your career mode game.

Steve Waugh is a first class Gentlemen, he was in cairns maybe 4 or 5 years ago and I had a small chat with him and Merv. PS Merv and me did most of the talking as I wrote before, a quite Gentlemen.:thumbs

I thanked you but after thinking about it Matt you got it the wrong way around, Mark was always the jealous one. Just look at there careers side by side.:yes

I've already started the West Indies and, have planned to create the others you have mentioned, However I'll only be making the best XI from each team rather than the full 15-20.

The on-disc Aus 1940s "historic" team is the invincibles, see first post of the linked thread. A lot of the players need work though they're randomish so far. I'm gonna revisit that.

Also a few SA from 1970 done too because they're part of on disc SA all time

@TheLef, that is absolutely awesome. It will be nice bumping into people i have only seen on tv.

Same here. I am a bangladeshi living in usa, whose favorite team is south africa and favorite cricketer of all time is steve waugh (along with jacques kallis). Absolute legend this guy, best captain of all time according to me.
