Pakistan's home games need to happen in pakistan, not anywhere else. It is quite ridiculous that they have not been able to convince bcci ICC about security.

Pakistan is not safe to tour, so there will not be international cricket there.

There are better places to hold the games than Dubai though. Did they get a reasonable crowd when they had games in England against Australia?

Surely that would be a better option to play the games in England.

I do feel for the majority of Pakistani's who love cricket and miss out because of a small minority of idiots.

Hell...they might as well start hosting 'home' games for the NZ Black Caps at Cheltenham Drive oval at the Gold Coast there will lots of 'local' support! he he

The Gold Coast is the largest New Zealand city.

I worked at a customer service centre on the GC a few years back and we had about 300 people employed. I would say 70% of them were from NZ.

I reckon you'd want an earlier South Africa to make it more competitive - by this time Richards, Pollock, Procter, Rice and Van der Bijl were past their best, and even the "youngsters" were mostly over 30. Procter was semi-retired by then. When Peter Kirsten was appointed Captain in 1982 he was the second youngest guy in the team at 28.

The SA team under Ali Bacher that had just whooped the Aussies 4-0 before isolation, that team would be an awesome team to make/play. or maybe a later version (say mid-70s) where you could bring van der Bijl in.

I just called it a pre WWI team because of Barnes and Trumper, perhaps a Victorian team would be a better name? And I had to go with Bannerman over Hayward simply for the romance of it.

I think you are correct. What a contest that would be! Also some of the best XIs against the WI XI with the likes of the 3Ws and all would be absolute delight to play.

As you gotta make 12 players before you can use it Hayward can be 12th man!
