Which 6 players would you choose to have on your team.
Here is how the game would work. Each team has 6 players. The game lasts 5 overs. Every body on the team has to bowl 1 over, except the wicket keeper.

So which six international players would you choose. Make 1 person the wicket keeper and choose a captain.

Heres my batting order.

1. S. Afridi
2. V. Sehwag
3. A. Gilchrist (wk) (capt.)
4. C. Gayle
5. A. Flintoff
6. B. Lee

With this line up, I have 5 big hitters. 2 pace bowlers, and an excellent wicket keeper. Also, every one on my team can bowl. Except for Gilchrist, (who is the wicket keeper)

So lets see your line up guys!!

I have chosen my international six-a-side team from experiences of greatness.

SkateBoarder2's international six-a-side team

1). Chris Gayle (West Indies)
2). Andrew Symonds (Australia)
3). Shahid Afridi (Pakistan)
4). Adam Gilchrist (Australia) (Wicketkeeper) (Captain)
5). Andrew Flintoff (England)
6). Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka)

I have chosen two strong openers in Chris Gayle and Andrew Symonds, as both have the power to stay at the crease and make high scores. Also, both of these players can take wickets.

Shahid Afridi would come into bat at number three and is also capable of making a high score and intimidating bowlers with his hard hitting style.

Adam Gilchrist is the weapon down the order. He can make gigantic scores with a variation of shots all around the field. Recently he was voted the most intimidating batsman by bowlers. He is also the wicketkeeper as he is incredibly experienced and skilled. He has the reflexes to stump batsmen out and dive for a catch. He is also the captain because he has great leadership skills.

The next all-rounder is Andrew Flintoff of Lancashire and England. He has the ability to smash the ball out of the ground and entertain the crowd. He can bowl too with his strength getting him lots of wickets.

The final player is Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka. He is the only specialist bowler in my team and adds some spin to the attack. He has a fantastic ability to make the ball turn which lead him to be the leading test wicket taker of all time for many months before he was knocked off that spot by Shane Warne.

I hope you agree with my choices and post any comments about it.

I don't think all of you understand the fact that each player must bowl, Sorry skateboarder but I wouldn't want Hayden, Ponting or Trescothick bowling in a 5 over match, even though they're great batsmen.

My team

1. A Gilchrist (WK) (Aus)
2. C Gayle (Win)
3. J Kallis (Saf)
4. C Cairns (Nzl)
5. A Flintoff (Eng)
6. A Razzaq (Pak)

Also in squad: S Jayasuriya, Brett Lee

I basicly just picked a handful of All Rounders, they had to have great bowling records as well as high-strike rates for batting and good averages. I am almost tempted to move Lee to the starting 6. Hard to fit him in. It just so happened that all the players were from different countries in the starting 6 which wasn't exactly planned but is nice. Im not sure who I would make the captain either. Not much captaincy is really needed anyway.

Also I presume this means only 6 fielders, woooow

Mine would be

1 - A Gilchrist (w)
2 - S Jayasuria (c)
3 - J Kallis
4 - M Hussey
5 - G McGrath
6 - S Mushtaq

Im surprised how I'm the only one who chose afridi in my line up. Common, who wouldn't want this guy in a 5 over slog?!?! Nearly every ball he faced would be a boundary. He can bowl pretty decently also...

Yeah Afridi is a must have

1. Adam Gilchrist
2. Shahid Afridi
3. Andrew Flintoff
4. Jacques Kallis
5. Brett Lee
6. Glenn McGrath

Lee and McGrath would open the bowling who is the best ODI bowling partnership is cricket today, with Flintoff bowling first change, Afridi would then try get under 36 runs hit of his over, with Kallis bowling the last over.

Gilchrist and Afridi are superb timers of the ball and would get the innings off to a flyer, Flintoff is also a big hitter who can get the ball rolling. Kallis is only there because of his all-round abilities, and LEe is known for his big sixes late in the innings

1. Adam Gilchrist
2. Virender Sehwag
3. Sachin Tendulkar
4. Chris Gayle
5. Brian Lara
6. Glenn McGrath

McGrath can bowler overs 1,3 and 5. and Gayle and Tendulkar can bowl 2 and 4 respectively. Or if 2 overs per bowler. McGrath 1,5. Gayle,2 and 4 and Tendulkar over 3.

Sorry, I didn't know that each player must bowl one over except the wicketkeeper.

I have edited my team now so the rules are followed.
