Miffed at the ?hostile? statements from Sri Lanka Cricket officials against Indian Premier League, the BCCI has decided to put on hold India?s all future bilateral series against Sri Lanka.

According to confidential documents obtained by PTI relating to a recent meeting between officials of the two boards, the Indians have made it clear that until the SLC changes its present hostile attitude towards BCCI, all tours by the Indian team in the FTP till 2012 stand unconfirmed.

Documents show that IPL Chairman Lalit Modi and other BCCI officials were extremely unhappy with some of the statements made by the Sri Lankan board officials particularly president Arjuna Ranatunga about the BCCI and Indian Premier League.

So, this is like good vs evil, yeah?

Geez, this has been out there since October. It was trashy speculation. Nothing has come of it.

Interesting, you'd think that the BCCI would appreciate the fact that Sri Lanka cancelled a tour of England to allow their players to play in the IPL.

They didn't exactly want to cancel it though, it got on their tits that they had to because their top players would rather play in the IPL, and thus making it pointless for them to still have an ongoing tour in England.

BCCI needs to lose some of its power...they got way too much of it

They have the power they can do whatever they feel right. canceling the tour is not the answer. they should stop passing comments on other board, should solve it off -media and public

I don't know why but SLC simply commented on the IPL for no reason and yeah if India's matches against Sri Lanka happen or do not happen no one cares as it is it's not that popular

BCCI are thinking that they are the leader of all cricket boards, but hey! They're looking at the mirror!

Not getting universal approval eh. Perhaps it hurt their ego when a few members of the SL board spoke in a hostile manner. Stop flexing your muscle meatheads and try to use this power to create a stronger, cricketing world. Pooheads.

A board which does not pays salary to its players surely wont last 1 hour infront of BCCI.
