So it's ok for International tours to be stopped because of a dispute over a domestic competition? Another nail in the coffin for International cricket. It won't die, but the boards need to be careful here, BCCI may not care about damaging International cricket while it has its precious IPL, but without International cricket would anyone care about IPL?and yeah if India's matches against Sri Lanka happen or do not happen no one cares as it is it's not that popular
And the Empire is only helping them out, relieving them of tours so that they don't need to worry about fielding a good international team. Fear has kept them in line up to this point.Soon we can add BCCI vs SLCB and PCB. I dont see any reason why boards have banned ICL players. Kiwis need those players back seriously.
I'm curious as to pal's comment made really early in this thread. I know everyone enjoys taking a dig at the BCCI, but this article is about 20 days old and I feel like something this big would have at least made it to Cricinfo?
For example, this article in Cricinfo seems to be related to the matter but no where does it say that the BCCI is planning to hold off against international committments with Sri Lanka. Seems like a media stunt to me.

Umm... yeah it was published in a newspaper. However, the complete lack of reaction towards it internationally suggests that it was not exactly a credible article. It is not been a media stunt.I remember reading it in my newspaper in OCtober.
Miffed at the “hostile” statements from Sri Lanka Cricket officials against Indian Premier League, the BCCI has decided to put on hold India’s all future bilateral series against Sri Lanka.
Indian officials may re-open some old cricket match fixing files that were shut nearly a decade ago, with a view of sending a message to a few of the former Sri Lanka players who were alleged to have been having links with the infamous Indian bookie M. K. Gupta, sources told the ?Daily Mirror? yesterday. Indian officials who are reportedly unhappy with the Sri Lankan situation and the cricket relations which are at a very low ebb, have decided to pursue the issue and have been in touch with several former Sri Lankan cricket officials to secure vital documents, sources added.
Sri Lanka's sports minister Gamini Lokuge has dissolved the interim administration of Sri Lanka Cricket, headed by Arjuna Ranatunga, saying the situation at SLC demanded an immediate change.
The sports secretary, S Liyanagama, will oversee the SLC administration until a decision is taken - within the next week, Lokuge said - on whether to call for elections or to appoint another interim administration.
"Arjuna Ranatunga has not been cooperating with the company or the players," Lokuge was quoted as saying by PTI. "We tried to sort it out but could not and he has been removed."
Ranatunga has been a vocal critic of the IPL, once comparing it once to instant noodles, and antagonised the Indian board by stating that India lost the first Test to Sri Lanka in July because they played too much Twenty20 cricket. He also sought tighter control for the national board over player contracts with the IPL.
