so my Q is, how much better is it from BLC07?

This problem with spinners has been evident in most cricket games. I really hope Ashes 2009 proves to be different.:upray

Having said that, part of the problem is close in fielder's animation! They're standing there one minute and then have magically appeared under the ball when in real life they would have no chance whatsoever of catching it. What are the animations of close in fielders dives like in this game? If they're realistic and varied, bowling with a spinner will be thrilling and a real pleasure!

yea it was ridiculous, the ball would be almost past the fielder and then the fielder dives backwards at superspeed and catches the ball... but then same that go straight to them and they dont even have to move they drop lol.. that was annoying lol.

yea i hope bowling with spinners in ashes 09 is close to realistic, and on the other hand it will make facing spinners would be harder as well... depending on where the ball is pitched ofcourse... i guess i will find out for myself when i get it

Yeah, what he said. You have to make two clicks on your mouse, and you're too lazy to do that?

The other terrible thing about one of the previous games was when the AI would open the bowling of a Test match with a spinner. What the...?

It's also very important that cricket shots can be played to any part of the field, rather than only providing "scripted" shots. I'm hoping Ashes 09 fulfills this requirement.

Bringing up the keeper!

I really wish they would have implemented the option of bringing the keeper up to medium pacers and allowing players like symonds to bowl either spin or pace

Yes and many captains these days use this option. It surely is a useful tactic. May be Heath or any of the Development / Publishing guy look into this matter and implement this important feature into the game before the release.....

Or official patch can do it.. surely

haha... yes.. well said.. by looking at the prospects... and AC09.. you can't say this... if Transmission and Codies stay together and stay locked.... and continues with this engine and code... we will see a better product every 2 years...

Well .. we should be optimistic... they are working really hard...

and by the way... my son is already 5 years of age. not much time till he demands a PS3 or Xbox360 ... God.. that is such a big tension.. haha... just kidding..

Ok, here is my opinion about EA Cricket 09

Who gives a rats about Cricket 09 - they were all these 'clues' and rumours, but nothing official. I cant believe how gullible people are. If the info that PC provided about a game coming out was correct, how come the source was never revealed? And for PC to provide this information in an immature fashion using pathetic day by day 'revalations' - surely this had to be questioned. People should not me made to believe there is a game coming out from EA - its unsubstantiated and inappropriate propoganda made by PC itself which has falsely got the hopes up of all the members.

There has been no official statement made about the game, and until there is I think it is inappropriate for senior members to spread unsubstantiated information about the game to the detriment of all other members.
