That is one sexy team right there. If I couldn't pick Hayden then it'd be Chris Gayle who'd slot into the opening spot. KP possibly isn't deserving of a spot, but he's got a better T20i record than AB so meh. Brad Podge has to get in as well, awesome T20 player, still surprises me that Australia pick guys like Clarke, Ferguson, White and Voges ahead of Podge in their T20 side.

What's up with the Dhoni love. As much as McCullum annoy's the hell out of me his 20/20 record is a lot better then Dhoni's. The leading international 20/20 run scorer he has a higher average and his SR is 20 points higher. Not to mention the fact he's a better keeper.

True that, don't know why I picked Dhoni tbh.

McCullum's an opener, and there are better openers than him, so I picked the keeper who's experienced down the order, and a very good finisher. I like McCullum alot, but I wouldn't have him in my team batting 6, and he's certainly not a better T20 opener than Dilshan or Hayden, or even Gayle for that matter.

I'm not just picking at your team, but it seems most people here have Dhoni in their XI. It's not like McCullum isn't capable of batting down the order, I'd back him to hit from ball one unlike Dhoni.

Dhoni's turned himself into a Bevan-esque accumulator and finisher. If the match situation requires him to, he'll hit from ball 1, but with India's strong batting line-up he can often come in and rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking to finish off an innings. I'd certainly back Dhoni to successfully finish more games than McCullum, which I believe is a key factor in picking a number 6.

Australia wouldn't. As would half the general public who want him to move back down the order because of how good he was at finishing games.

I guess,as far as T20 goes,Yuvraj Singh is the best in the business. :)

Dhoni's lost the art of hitting at the death.

Dilshan, Yuvi, Gayle, Gambhir, ABD...all excellent T20 bats. Malinga, Gul, Vettori, Afridi excellent bowlers.

Dhoni brings excellent captaincy, good wicketkeeping, and a solid presence in the middle order to the fray. Not only can he get quick ones and twos, but he also has the ability to smash it. Hopefully he regained it, he just got a 43 odd ball 90 or so in the Corporate Trophy.

If Dhoni's back I'd definitely have him in my T20 lineup. Heck, he's probably the best keeper-bat in the world right now. Prior would give him a run for his money in Tests, but Dhoni's captaincy ability should give him the edge. And Sanga's stopped keeping in Tests, so that's a plus for MSD.
