The India-England match scheduled to be played at the Eden Garden has been scrapped and a new venue will be announced soon. Read more here

A bog blow this for the CAB, as in the recent years they have certainly been in the news for all the wrong reasons.

What a joke, are the other stadiums even finished yet??
@cricketicc (on twitter) recently tweeted that all Sri Lankan grounds and Wankhede stadium (Mumbai) receive a green signal from their side.

This is shocking, they can organize IPL within no time, but they had more than 2 years to complete the stadium renovation and they couldn't, absolute shame. :facepalm

IPL games too weren't succesfully organized. There have been a couple of instances of power failure at the grounds.

Karma is a bitch for those Eden Gardens fans who were booing India in a match against South Africa because Ganguly had been dropped.

Couldn't agree more.

I hope the match is shifted to Hyderabad.

The match will be played in India itself. That too at one of the 8 Indian venues. Lets rule out Mumbai for sure, leaves us with 7.
If one were to arrange the logistics, the match would be played in Delhi by all means. Given that Delhi is the capital of India, the connectivity would also be pretty good and as such moving players won't be an issue.

They will not consider any new ground, the likes of Hyderabad or so on. Its out of question.

Feel sorry for the English fans who I'm sure booked flights to Kolkata. Will be hard to recover all (if any) money from those tickets.

Sad this. Kolkotta one of best grounds in the world when you think about the atmosphere of over 100,000 fans.

Like I already said, Subcon. should never get to host anything big. These Habibs are not professional enough. Only 2 grounds are ready with only 20 days to go.

I bet they wasted all that time making that long ass promo. efftards

They should get FULL refunds and apology gift bags.

Can they fit that many people there? Did they ever really?

What's the best and biggest ground in India?
