West Indies tour of England (Aug-Sept 2017)

Don't understand what Miandad has to do with it.
Gayle looks like a one-trick pony because of his fitness problems. Those problems probably derive from his participation in pretty much every T20 league, plus his lifestyle choices. You can criticise that, but you can't call him a one-trick pony based on his cricketing ability. And he's a good slip fielder.

He IS a one trick pony at the moment based on his ability. You have said it yourself there. You don't have a slip in place for 50 overs. He CANNOT run. He's at best a part timer.

Unlike you, I can't mince words to come across like a forum hero.

Not sure about his earlier run outs but he fielded for 50 overs, was there for good 25 overs when batting so he could well be tired after that? No?

That's how i mostly post on here.

Fantastic hundred for Ewin Lewis 165* so far , can he get a double ton?

Such a big shame he had to retire out :(. He was all set for a 200. What a marvelous batting display by him. The thing with West Indies is they dont play as a team. One guy stands up and other 10 just disappoint. West Indies in its current state has much better talent than the falling Sri Lankan side. If West Indies start playing as a team and every rises up and gives even 60% individually, this team will rise up again.[DOUBLEPOST=1506525382][/DOUBLEPOST]Marlon Samuels time's up. He should not be in this team. He was always a mediocre player who happened to play few good innings. He is so inconsistent more like Mohammad Hafeez from Pakistan.

Also coming onto Gayle, he has to be only kept for T20's. His running between the wicket is pathetic and you do not need a player to be slogging from ball 1 in ODI's.

Should be an interesting game today. Of all sides, England has the potential to chase a total like this down.

The crowd could get their monies worth from the game.

Agree, England just like all other sides are a beast at Home. They have already scored similar amount of runs in last match. Stokes can he be a difference?

England needs to be a little careful and try and get ahead of the rate. Rain is predicted later in the afternoon.

Jason Roys inning with rain predicted has kept England in hunt. Good innings there. People say Subcontinent has flat dead rubber pitches, but look at England and Australian pitches in last year or so. Complete flat tracks so shall we call England a flat track bully too? (Only ODI's)

Had a question for you all English fans out there, would you persist with Morgan as a captain or Root? Morgan comes with a little bit of inconsistency whereas Root gives you the feeling of a settled unit seeing he is captaining other format.

Refreshing to see a WI fast bowler with some pace showing disdain and anger at every run up. Joseph doing well here!

Windies are unpredictable, these are the guys who can chase 400 if it's their day while can even get all-out for less than 100 against a weak team. You never know with them!

Going by the scorecard the guy Lewis played the innings of his life. These guys showed so much potential in this series, every match there was a new hero; now only if they perform together as a unit and have consistent performers.

Another win for England though, congrats.
