South Africa tour of India 2019/20

My best wishes and all the good luck, to the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Priyank Panchal.(:rolleyes

At times we just need to accept what has been happening. We just need to give out time to the team decisions and see what is happening and then make a call. I think it would sound a bit stupid of me to suggest this to you as you are already used to it as far as I have followed your posts ever since. So this post of yours actually comes out as a surprise to me. I can understand that maybe you are feeling for the players that missed out. But India is a huge country and how many players will you give chances to ? At the end of the day it would come down to the understanding between the players and the team management. They would only select those players who they have watched closely and know that these players would be delivering for them. I think at the moment we need to be positive and hope that the decision of Rohit Sharma to open pays off. I feel he has already exceeded our expectations now atleast in home conditions.

I remember The Last Tour of SA to India
Ind Won 2-0 but failed to whitewash because one test was interrupted and called off due to rain
Actually it was a 4-match series that India won 3-0. And even that 3-0 was unfair as we influenced the playing conditions in that series to an extent that nobody could actually trouble us as far as they have a couple of spinners who force errors from our batsmen no matter how well they play.

Sorry it was my mistake you are right but Kohli matter always keep me thinking sometimes especially 300 matter and he once quit from field at 90s

The game is lot bigger than personal milestones alone. I think Virat understands that so he does those things just because he respects the game. We are fans and we just get excited by these milestone things but honestly the players don't look for them. They just want their team to do well.

But I remember Kohli walked off field on his own even umpire did not gave him out and later cursed himself when he knew he was not out
It could prove harmful to team although it did not happen
What you can say about this?

It is something that can't be explained. It is a very subjective matter and is instinctive.

The South African team have played some very average Cricket with the bat in this series apart from their first innings in Vizag. They just don't seem to be learning at all. Their lower order has been scoring some valuable runs to salvage some pride out there. Rest of the batting have been just terrible.

Ab de Villiers,Hashim Amla was the best cricketer for SA ever and for world with ABD often performs glazing performances:bat:
ABD:saf: was my best Cricketer untill he retired for his fast,blazing,high-voltage performances:yes
After they were retired the SA team is just average outside

Not really. They have got some very good batsman in their team. They have just under-performed. Dean Elgar can bat out any conditions as far as I have seen him, Faf du Plessis is a very dependable batsman, Bavuma is a very good Test players as well. It is never enough to say anything about Markram he is just that good. Zubayr Hamza is also very talented batsman. I feel like Du Plessis is a better accustomed player than AB de Villiers in the longer format. This is just a problem with the attitude with which they have played.

I think it would've been a smart move to have a concussion replacement for Dean Elgar. I think Theunis de Brynn could've been a replacement for him.

But SA team will surely miss ABD and Amla with both have high number of centuries, batsman and very reliable than current batsman
Amla and especially ABD have many unique records for SA
ABD is highest scorer SA batsman vs India in India who scored a double ton in ahmedabad
Perhaps the only batsman to do this as far I know:yes
:saf:vs:ind:

Doesn't suggest that this side is average either.

But No such talented batsman remained like them in SA team now all are less than them in records and stats and by them SA recahed semi-finals of World Cup now unless some talented players comes its difficult for them to win big tournaments and big teams

This side isn't just enough experienced and that is the main problem over here. You don't necessarily need your best players to play all their lives. Now we can't ask the likes of Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Dhoni, etc to comes and play a Test match for us if we want to win Overseas. It is just like that.

Although cricket is team work and performance of all required to win
For India now Kohli are key player after Sachin
Without Kohli India cant fight in tournaments as he is reliable unlike others who sometimes spark as star
Similar in other teams every team has a special core player
Otherwise why SriLanka,Ban,etc teams did not make a strong impact in international tournaments?
Every successful team must have special players but SA dont have after both duo (ABD,Amla) retired.
Building such players also not easy and rare
