India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

One more thing- Did Rahane look more under pressure after running Kohli out or all through this test?

It is very clear how much one individual is impacting our team. Remind me of reading about the likes of Julius Caesar, Hitler etc.

Just noticed that Jadeja with the bat averages more than Ben Stokes since 2016. Also he has a better bowling average than Stokes & Shakib Al Hasan. Now this is something really great considering he isn't used as a proper batsman or an attacking spinner. He is truly under rated!!!!

But there are some people like Sanjay Manjrekar trying to bring him down by throwing some useless comments about him.

I doubt anyone cares about Manjrekar. When he started commentating, if someone had told us his career as a commentator would be more ghastly than the one as a player, nobody could have believed it. It was that awful. But that fact that he has managed to handsomely overshadow his playing days just goes to show the character he's made off. I don't want to typecast but most Bombay commentators are a whole heap of TOSH! A so called legend has already said enough on Kohli, one is the coach of our team and this chap is obviously the biggest joke of all.

Well there is a guy from Hyderabad(Deccan) who actually makes a lot of sense with every word he speaks about Cricket. And the whole of India should just look up to him if we actually want to hear something worth hearing about this sport. There is also another commentator whose name is Deep Dasgupta who actually has a sound knowledge about the game. Even though he doesn't bring in that excitement factor while commentating but he definitely makes a lot of sense.

What channel is he on?

Please don't say that. :( Atleast something good must happen for us in this series after the way our bowling have performed so far. They definitely deserve atleast one victory.
India's history of flattering to deceive? How often have we seen that?

Having said that, India hold the aces at the moment. Just hope they don't sqander it like they did during the 1st Test, although the advantage there was slightly less than what it is today.

I don't quite remember India losing a match after having a 100+ runs lead in the first innings. I think it was way back in 2014 when Brendon McCullum hit a 300. Scoring an Individual 300 is next to impossible against the current bowling line-up. I think as soon as we get Smith and Labuschagne out early Australia would be under deep trouble.

The track has gotten flatter and flatter. This partnership and the next is crucial to get to 400 and then the 200 run deficit will act as a 12th man. Till Australia eradicate it, they will keep feeling they're behind no matter how well they bat. It will not be easy to get 10 wickets again and a due Steve Smith is not something India will look forward to. Also, Labuschagne feeds off Smith and his runs so all is not done.

As I said, the main thing is to get to 400 and then apply scoreboard pressure. If Australia go into test saving mode, we have a good chance but if they take the game head on, even 125-150 will be hard to chase in the 4th innings. 400 is what should be on every Indian's mind, heart and mouth.

India need to bat as much of the 3rd day as they can and try to post a really handsome lead. There is turn on this wicket along with the bounce and for that to come into play, we need more runs from here. Hope Rahane has a very good rest and comes back in along with Jadeja to carry the innings forward. There is also Ashwin who can chip in with some useful runs. If Rahane/Jadeja/Ashwin can take India to a 175'ish lead, maybe Umesh can come out and swing his bat around to add 15-20 runs. We are already 82 runs ahead and we need 100 more.

On a day when the India captaincy debate raged at its peak, ICC plays clever and names Virat Kohli as the "test captain of the decade". Well played ICC! :D

The ICC ratings and teams are a joke. The ICC is a joke.

Most wins as a captain, best % of matches won. First Indian captain to win a series in Australia, I think. Increased his average from 40 under Dhoni to 60 as captain? I'd say he's got a good case.
