Story Sri Lanka (me) v/s India (CPU) - 7 ODI series - Cricket 2004

I know you guys would be thinking what is wrong with me when there two new games around but am struck with Cricket 2004. I have both the new games but still can't get good results. With Cricket 2005, it is way too slow, although batting is excellent bowling is too boring and it has already grown...

Remapping the Controls (PC Version) This is How You Do It.

Have you guys tried importing the excel spread sheet back into the pc_data.gob file using BigGUI after having changed it in the excel spread sheet?

My review & Results after tweaking the AI a little

This exactly is what I have complained so far with the EA cricket series. With this kind of setting a lot of shots are rendered useless. You could make it aggressive but then if your defensive values are fairly high or the moderate values are fairly high in the 1day50 pacing file then the...

These are the issues we will face if we increase the CPU pacing mid way through : 1. They will hit one too many in the air one too early and get out. 2. Thanks to the stroke files, the ball ends up pretty much the same place each time so run scoring by CPU is far too curtailed. 3. Also...

Honestly batting got so easy I tweaked all the six shots not to come off all the time. If you download the configs I have attached about you will sure find out the batting at hard level is fairly easy. As for the shot direction goes, there has been plenty done by Eddie, Mike and I have tweaked a...

Good News I Have Found The Stroke Files!

Mid wicket and backward square leg is a must in test matches. Without it you can score at 5 RPO or over what with CPU bowling wicket to wicket all the time.

    AI Bowling files

There was nothing like AI bowling files in any of the EA cricket series' so far and Cricket 2005 will have it neither. This is one are that has not been tapped since the days of BLC in 1999. Would be a great stuff to crack.

    Question for Eddie/Ravi

I go with Eddie on this one, the one in the big file has to be the one to be used. That said I just import both of them. The best way to do it though is to put the configs in the Cricket 2005 root folder and import the big file.

Kerry now its just a little wait before Prakash comes up with an editor for this one. There are couple of files that can be edited, those are the player databases. The file names are 6c91b55323be05f1c26c891848029b1a.backup and 6c91b55323be05f1c26c891848029b1a.backup2. Maybe time for Prakash to...

    does the stamina meter work??

Nope I have seen bowlers bowl plenty in a row but still the confidence meter doesn't drop. I would be interested to know if anyone has seen it work.

Yes Kerry that has to do with the files I uploaded. The cursor size is increased in it and that is the effect you are seeing. I am pretty sure now CPU bowls quite a bit outside off and short balls. Your installation hasn't gone through well mate if it is displaying a small cursor. It has...

    To easy!

Yeah the original batting settings are just too easy in particular the the aerial on drive. 9 times out of 10 it comes off. Even the aerial straight drive is just too easy to play.

BTW if you need to improve your batting all you need to do is copy/paste the following into ball_physics.cfg file then import it into 2bb7ad25c9aa96dc7b6f670d84a4df83.big. Then also copy/paste this into the file 5f10b12f82ac3721c3cef9eeac9d0a86.cfg and import both the files into data_pc.gob...

The wide bug is that the umpire calls a decent line ball outside the off stump a wide when the CPU bowls. It must be possible to fix it, definitely a job for hex editing. Meanwhile I tried to tweak the CPU to bowl less yorkers but when I do that it bowls one too many four balls in Test...

The downloads should work guys, please have another go. BTW in the above video, I am always batting with CPU bowling. Groobz, I can upload my big file that I am using to bat in test matches if you like. I could also upload the oneday50.cfg file that I am using if you want to use it for your...

My review & Results after tweaking the AI a little

Really, the bloody CPU scores at an unbelivable pace from what I have experienced. Is there any period when CPU slows down or is it just in general? I have to say I haven't played too much to have a say at CPU pacing but we can definitely improve that. Its just the same old wine in a new bottle...

I haven't done a review but the game is utterly disappointing for me. Please do not give me stick for it as it is my opinion. You may have yours and I respect that but in my opinion it is absolutely rubbish at its current state. The following is my review just in case : The game is way too...
