Result: Sri Lanka Win by 9 wickets

MOTM: de Silva

Reaction: de Silva is an absolute legend! It may have only been Zimbabwe but he still did incredible. He's definitely been my find for the season. Currently averaging 27 in tests and 19 in ODIs. It's a shame he isn't younger, although 29 is still pretty young.

Oh and yeah, the rest did good too. :p

Awesome wins there for both of you, although beating Zimbabwe isn't a major achievement... :p

Nah you've both done quite well this year and de Silva's bowling just capped off a brilliant year. I think you messed up Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka's score though, AOTF, as you lost by 9 runs according to that. ;)

Cracking work, lads.

1st Test:
Sl:

Warnapura
Vandort
M.Jayawardene
Sangakkara
Paranavitana
Sameraweera
P.Jayawardene
Rathnayake
Ranasinghe
Mendis
Muralidaran

Parana moved one up the order, and we have two new pacemen.
Rathnayake and Ranasinghe will get their spots because of Vaas's injury and my push to uncover some new pacemen,I'm trusting Murali and Mendis to bowl well.

WI:
Gayle
D.Smith
Chanderpaul
Sarwan
Bravo
R.Hinds
Ramdin
Sammy
Miller
Jaggernauth
Collymore

The only interesting things about this line up is the two spinners on a pacey pitch, but I can't say anything because I've done the same.

Match:
WI 1st innings:239

D.Smith 88
Gayle 80

Mendis 4/54
Muralidaran 4/67

Vandort 25
Paranavitana 22no

Jaggernauth 1/7
Miller 1/25

MOTM:Ajantha Mendis

Result:SL win by 7 wickets.

Reaction:
140 opening parternership by the Windies actually had me worried, but what was more worrying was the fact that the pace bowlers only got 3 wickets between them,Vaas and Malinga might be on instant recall.
Mendis and Murali proved themselves again, not that they really needed too.
Sameraweera showed his allround talents again, and Paranavitana's maiden Test hundred practicly won me the match!

Your spin attack once again won you the match, although Paranavitana's maiden Test hundred wasn't too bad. Good start to the year.

Collymore 2/28
Sammy 1/40

Result:
Sri Lanka win by 6 Wickets
MOTM:Paranavitana

Reaction: Well, I'm having computer issues and typing out long responses will take me forever, so I'm going to try keep this short. Bowling might have looked Solid with de Silva keeping up his outstanding form and taking his first test 10for. The reason he went for over 100 runs in each innings is because he really was the main bowler who was looking like taking wickets. The rest were quite mediocre. Paranavitana was amazing for me like he was for Blade and I'm a bit gutted that Silva couldn't get a century on Test Debut. The Second innings started of dodgy with being 4/51 but Samaraweera and Vandort steadied us and won the match. Brilliant start to the season, bring on match two!

Sl:

Warnapura
Vandort
M.Jayawardene
Sangakkara
Paranavitana

The experimental pacemen were very disappointing,Vaas gets his spot back and Zoysa is tested.

WI:

R.Hinds
Ramdin
Sammy
Miller
Peters
Collymore

Left arm paceman Peters is selected.

SL 2nd innings:367/8
M.Jayawardene 102
Vandort 55

Miller 6/121
Collymore 1/44

MOTM:D.Sammy.

Result:Match Drawn.

Reaction:
Really dissappointed in this result, there were a few plusses, like Jaya's hundred and Zoysa's ability and Murali's second innings bowling.
But for the first time Mendis didn't trouble the batsman and was hammered,Murali also had that trouble in the first innings.

Moment of the match was Vandort's 212 ball 50!!!

Second Test not First, bladescape. ;)

Great match and win for AOTF but bladescape failed to win! Haven't been able to say that in a while. Hopefully you can return to winning ways soon.

Good stuff, lads.

Result: Match Drawn
MOTM: Gayle

Result: Well, Me and Blade seem to be having the same fortunes in this tour. Right down to Jaya scoring 102 for both of us in the second innings! Bowlers were disappointing in this match. I might need a few changes for the next tour, considering most were disappointing. Paranavitana was injured in the second innings, so 330/8 was really 330/9, meaning that Vaas and de Silva had to last 5 tense overs. Well,Series is still 1-0 to me!
