Al Hasan 22
Mends 4/25
Murali 2/34

Result: Sri Lanka Win by 113 Runs
MOTM Mendis

Reaction: Too easy. Just like most of the others, Batters where average while bowlers excelled on a spinning pitch. Batting was really going without any issues until Islam took a Hat trick to dismiss Malinga(29) Mendis and Murali. Then with 9 Wickets down Fernando and de Silva slogged out a few overs to end on 34 and 11 respectfully. Not a Lot different happening on the bowling end, de Silva(2/50) and Malinga(1/35) chipping in with a few early wickets then Murli and Mendis destroying the rest of the order.

Very easy win once again and a good start to the ODI series. Mendis was awesome and Murali was rather good. Your batting was quite good despite Islam getting a hat-trick, as I could never see a Bangladesh team chasing that.

Keep this going you two. :)

I found this story hard to read due to Bladescape's higgledy piggledy presentation, if he adds a little bit of bold font and some spaceing like Age of the Fall it will make things much easier to read and I will be more inclined to follow it's progress.

Sangakkara 94no
Sameraweera 53no

S.Islam 3/47

MOTM:T.Sameraweera

Result:SL win by 5 wickets.

Reaction:
A slight improvement in the Bangla batting(:p) was brought on by the inefficiancy of the pacemen with the new ball!(again)
The spinners bowled from over 10 to over 40 and Mendis was a lot more economical then the others, taking 1/26 from 10.
Sameraweera was largely ineffective until he took a hattrick!(see bottom)
The old ball allowed Vaas and Malinga to yet again bowl very well at the death!(I might just have to get 2 new opening bowlers.)

Sangakkara was completely let down by Vandort this time with Vandort almost completely blowing his chances of staying in the team with a golden duck!
A miny collapse with Jayawardene and Silva following Vandort(though not for ducks!),until Sameraweera and Sangakkara saw SL through to the end.
I'm certainly happy with the result.

Is that better Slowcoach?:)

Other then that, not much different to right about in this match. Typical Match facing Bangla. This is getting Dull. Read the other reactions:p

Hattricks in successive matches for you two? Awesome. :D

Very simple win for your players, AOTF. Samaraweera was amazing with the bat and ball, being your best player by far in that match.

Reaction:
The top order(apart from Jaya) just collapsed!!!
At one point I was 3/18!
Jaya(59),Samera(40),Vaas(48no) and Mendis(39) not only rescued me but with small contributions from all around I managed to post a very good score.

For once the opening bowlers weren't expensive.
M & M & S did their trick and wiped through the order.
This is getting boring and the next tour is Zimbabwe!!!!
I can't wait to get through this!

Islam 3/44

Result:
Sri Lanka Win by 1 wicket.
MOTM: Razzak

Reaction:...Ok. That was close. Razzak ripped through my fairly fragile batting order. Lucky to get the win there. Considering my Last Batsmen was Dropped off his second ball:eek: I'm just lucky de Silva and Mendis managed to knock off the last few runs. Disappointing effort by the batsmen there. Not sure how I'm going to beat other teams when I can hardly beat Bangla. Hopefully it's just a one off.

In regards to my bowling, it should be illegal to have my 3 spinners on a spinning pitch against A team like Bangla. I also blame Razzaks illegal action for the amount of wickets he got.

ODI Top Tens.

Batsmen
6. Sangakarra
8. Silva

Bowlers
1. Mendis
6. de Silva
7. Samaraweera

Mendis was vital for you, Bladescape, with the bat and the ball. Jayawardene and Sangakkara have been Gods with the bat whilst Mendis seems to be your best baller overall. Mendis, Malinga and Murali all seem to have their places secured with those average.

AOTF, you lucky git. :p Razzaq was incredible for them but you shold still win that game easily. At least you both whitewashed the series. :)

Good stuff, guys.

Mendis was great for both of you guys, he's a legend! You got a good total Bladescape, thanks to Mendis and AOTF you probably should have bowled Bangladesh out for 10 or 20 runs less, as no one really made a big total for them.

Great work guys, kiu!

Sorry about the delay,I just got a bit tangled up with 08 when I was trying to install the patch.
It kept on stalling at 83% done!!

MOTM:S.Williams

Result:SL win by 4 wickets.

Reaction:
To be honest,I thought I could do better then this.
Mendis was good again,Murali wasn't as flash as usual,Malinga was rather pathetic and De Silva had some flashes of brilliance.
On the batting front Warnapura made up for a rather weak first innings performance with an excellent 80 to steady the innings,Vandort was steadier but the highest score he got was 46,Jayawardene was brilliant,as was Sangakkara,Sameraweera's only redeeming factor of his batting was the speed with which he amased his runs.
Paranavitana and Pressana weren't playing perticularly well either.

Overall a pretty bad performance appart from Mehala,Sanga and Mendis.
Williams is the main target for the bowlers next match.

Williams was awesome for Zimbabwe and got them closer to a win than you would of thought. Mendis was your star bowler once again but it was a very poor bowling performance. You need your pace bowlers to take more wickets.

A win's a win though.

Result: Sri Lanka win by 290
MOTM: Samaraweera

Reaction: Well, Pretty easy match, I'm happy with it. Murali being his legendary self and de Silva and Samaraweera helping to take out the rest. While the batting figures do look pretty awesome, I was pretty disappointed at batsmen getting starts then getting out.
Vandort(52), Paranavitana (54), Sangakarra( 48, 87). but hey, they're scoring 400+ for fun, who cares if it's against Zimbabwe :p

Bowling was solid as usual, although I was disappointed at my inability to get the tail out easily with the 8-11 batsmen scoring 182 runs out of 512. Nearing the end of the Minnow tours:happy
