The only thing he has against him is his fitness, which is obviously going to deteriorate with age. He gets a lot more cramps in his longer innings now, but haven't seen too much of it of late.

I don't know. I just hope that he plays long enough to ensure that he retains the record for most centuries in tests. He can retire the day after Ponting retires.

easily he can, he will definitely play until 2011, and that gives him more than enough time, especially if India end up playing test series against Bang and Windies in that time .

Really hope he does too, would be a record that will probably not be broken in my lifetime.

It would be tough, but he's been in fine form over the last year so I'd back him to do it. I'd love to see the little master do it tbh, I don't think we'd ever see it broken.

Not impossible, but that will be some uphill task. His age and fitness will indeed serve as two huge obstacles on his route to hundred centuries. And another thing is that, if he picks up a major injury now- then that will simply be the end. But having said that, the guy is a complete genius- and I really do have full faith in him. Let's see now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
