100 100's - Finally it has come. Take a bow Master!

So far he has risen for the big games, so theres every chance he can do it in the QF, but hope this time at least it results in a win :p

Hope he gets one hundred and one double hundred . He should get a double hundred in finals . That would be nice .

:yes

Waiting Now for his ton ... :D

----------

He's out , No one can save India now ... :mad

Whenever Sachin gets near a milestone, he gets out cheaply. Its what I've noticed many a times. Will wait to see Sachin complete his much awaited 100th 100 and 50 ODI fifties too. After all some day or the other, he is bound to reach there.

Not Ricky..but Kallis might.
To be honest, the face about tendulkar is..his rarely out of form. And most of other players reach up 80 100s in no times and then struggle.
His the modern day's BradMan!
No arguments!

no one can be compared to Bradman, not Sachin, not Christ Jesus himself

yea.... I'm done with you. Enjoy lunacy, I've heard it's quite riveting. Might give it a go myself once I'm impotent and in my late 70s

It won't be fair to compare two batsmen who played at different time and had different challenges and the type of cricket played when they played (now its rather aggressive cricket by batsmen, then was by the bowlers with bouncer rules and all).

Both are great players and that is where the debate's end should be...

I really don't want to go into it because I'm pretty sure this debate was going on when I last posted here more than a few years ago.

Some simple bits of information for people, no names mentioned but I'm looking at you Slick when I say this. Still, no names ha

Great India is right, it is unfair to compare batsmen across eras. However where Bradman earns the right to be considered all alone, where he is the benchmark by which all future batsmen are measured is the staggering difference between him and his contemporaries. If other players of the Dons time had been averaging in the 70's and 80's then it would be acceptable to attempt to claim his average of 99 as belonging to a different era. They did not. Sachin is the best of his era because he has proved himself to be that bit better than the other great batsmen of his time. Bradman not only proved himself to be the best of his generation, but did so by such a margin that no other player has ever demonstrated such a gap in quality and ability in relation to his fellow players.

For that reason, Bradman sits alone atop Mount Olympus, leaving Zeus to throw his lightning bolts at Sachin, Viv and all the other greats of their time.
