All he needed to do was drop the ball in front of him and sprint down the pitch. Or hit it anywhere on the ground and take of, there was a better chance of getting the one run like that then hitting it in the air. Its a shame that such a good innings from Butt is wasted by the other Pakistani batsman.

Its a great win for NZ, they seem to be winning allot of these last over thrillers. There were a few instances where they didn't field like NZ always does but in the end they held out.

Now, Afridi's wish will not be fulfilled because Pakistan won't be facing India since they are out of the tournament. It is very much unlikely that they will be in the semis.

Why are they saying Pakistan ahs been eliminated? I mean if we beat SA (difficult I know) and SA lose to England as well, wouldn't it be down to NRR against SA, I mean surely there's atleast a statistical chance here!
