19th Match, Group F: West Indies v India at Bridgetown

India will not be able to win the next match too if the conditions are same.
Jadeja
Yuvi
Vijay.

Next one is at St Lucia, where Raina scored that hundred (even then, we only won by 14 runs). But if we have to have hopes on that game, the other game results have to go our way.

Only good point for us this tournament is, we beat a team like SA (they lost it more than us beating them).

Sehwag plays short balls better than other newbies. As Flame Bladder said, he uses upper cut for wide short balls. His hook shots are also very good.

Wow I did not realized that we beating the Indians would have got guys out there throwing everything at each other, even the kitchen sink, am loving it:clap:banana2:D:laugh

In the end then, Jadeja's two overs cost india

Uhh no, not at all. He bowled terribly, but make no mistake, it was India's batting that cost us this game. 170 was chaseable, especially considering that we bat fairly deep.

Agree, If they are given a chance to meet with West Indians? Guess what will happen.:laugh

Not necessarily, I think it was a 150 odd pitch. We gave 15-20 runs too many.

But Sehwag has this problem of playing ugly looking strokes when he tries to force the pace. He is at his most dangerous when he is let to play his own game. But when he has to force the pace and play at a pace more than comfortable for him, he fails most often.

Ok but seriously most of the Indian team plays a lot of ugly looking shots. As long as you get the runs I don't mind how the shots look. To be fair this particular pitch is obviously helpful to the quicks. However the Indian batsman made it look a lot worse than it actually is. Sehwag has recently also tried charge fast bowlers (something he never use to do before) so I'd give him credit to counter problems he had before. I'm not saying Sehwag being in the team would have changed the game or something. Just saying that he wouldn't play these half hearted shots like most of these guys.

Well he gave away far too many runs (and shouldn't even have been picked to play after his last match) and dropped an important catch early on which he also did against australia

Thats because we care about the game a little too much. The world is always surprised at the way Indians react to victory and defeat. Its in our system. Win and you're hailed heroes, lose and you are nailed.

Well this game has clarified that good IPL players does not mean they can play the next level. I doubt bringing in Rayudu or Tiwari would have made a bigger difference.

I think this tournament summed out what India can do in the T20s. They ripped South Africa apart in suitable conditions but when the conditions were testing, they couldnt do it.

Name 1 person in the current Indian team that had an exceptional IPL.

Gambhir <--Failed
Murali Vijay <--Did ALRIGHT. He got that one Hundred and a few 40s but apart from that nothing notable
Raina <---Was our best batsman in this tournament and had a fine IPL so he is an exception I guess
Dhoni <--- Only showed up in that Punjab game
Rohit Sharma <--- Meh
Yusuf Pathan <--1 ton, failed after that
Jadeja <--- didn't even play! RR would've probably finished last if he did. :sarcasm
Harbhajan <-- nothing notable with the ball
Zaheer <-- played second fiddle to Malinga
Nehra <--- Didn't play

The people who actually did have a good IPL weren't selected at all.
