19th Match, Group F: West Indies v India at Bridgetown

A much needed kick up the backside for India. This is a good thing for Indian cricket as it will force us to look more closely at who we are selecting and also force the existing players to work on their short ball weaknesses. Also shows the lack of development since the last T20WC.

What kickup in the backside? Didnt we get the same kickup in the backside during the last T20 WC? Did we learn anything? Did it force us to look more closely at who were selecting and did it force the existing players to work on their short ball weakness? You would think people learn from mistakes. But what if we dont care about mistakes at all?

India didn't played well but Jadeja showed that he has a great talent with bowl and bat. :clap

Well now that India is out I'm rooting for WI, SL or NZ. I wouldn't mind if any of those teams won.

Trust me, India wont care even if they are banned from international cricket. Its how much heavy they have got for their boots. The money comes in very easily if you just turn up for some franchise team owned by a Bollywood star or a liquor baron. Playing for the country means almost nothing for this bunch of people. The board will be giving a closer look at the TV revenues generated by these games rather than the performance of our lousy players.

I give up my support for Murali Vijay. If you cant handle short balls, what technique do you have? If you bowl it to him at that spot where he can hit those leg side sixes, he can prosper. But the opposition are not out there for charity. Indian cricket is heading for some very troubled times. The Indians fielded like tigers in the IPL (even Ganguly throws him around like a kid) but when it comes to international cricket......?????

Sachin Tendulkar anyone?

I know it's not a long term solution, but hey, we're in desperate needs.

Told you lot the IPL would ruin Indian cricket but no one listened, because Modi was such a hero and going to breed a new generation of Indian superstars :sarcasm Think we can safely say that has totally failed. Indian cricket needs a total overhaul, if they carry on like this, they are just going to end up as the same sort of strength as someone like Pakistan or West Indies. Better then minnow's but not much else.

We missed a 3rd pacer IMO.

When the captain doesnt have faith in the bowler selected, whats the use in saying this again and again? Some are saying that Jadeja is unlucky and its harsh on the young man, etc. But he was poor in the previous version too. Yet he was persisted with, and he repeats his performance. I mean, the mistake is with Dhoni and the selectors too but cant he rectify his mistakes? And this guy tried to re-negotiate his IPL contract outside of the rules. Good that he was banned!

My all predictions are coming true... tbh it was predictable.

In the End Jadeja lost us both games with his expensive bowling. Our Batting sucks and our bowling was always rubbish. Some hilarious decisions by captain- Vijay still in the team just for his 48 against Afghanistan. I'll prefer Karthik instead. Including Jadeja was the worst decision I have ever seen from Dhoni. Including just 3 frontline bowlers with 2 pacers? what the hell they were thinking? They haven't learnt anything from prev T20 WC, did they?
