19th Match, Group F: West Indies v India at Bridgetown

1. Jadeja's bowling in last two matches was pathetic.
2. Going with just 3 bowlers was a huge mistake, specially when your 4th Bowler(Jadeja) was in a poor form.
3. What was the point of playing Jadeja when he was going to bat after Bhaji?

Can some one justify these?

Murali Vijay? Wow. The guy actually timed that shot really well, just straight to the fielder. If you're judging Vijay's technique this harshly, then Raina, Rohit Sharma, Yusuf should be forced to stop playing cricket.

India's domestic system is to blame - the IPL has just made it worse. The pitches are horrendously flat. I support Karnataka, and I'm not a big Robin Uthappa fan - because Karnataka play on seamer-friendly pitches with extra bounce, due to Vinay and Mithun being very good bowlers at the domestic level, and Uthappa was the worst of the Karnataka batsman. Couldn't play the ball when it was moving, or if he was bounced. However in the IPL, he played superbly...quite opposite to how he played in the domestic league.

Hopefully Vinay and Umesh get a run out in the next game. Someone was complaining about Umesh's IPL average? Well, to be fair to him, he was only inaccurate in one match. He bowled very well in the rest of them, had a lot of edges flying over the place, and bowled the yorker consistently. Let's see how he goes before anyone says his inclusion is too early. He also plays for a smaller team Vibardha, so I reckon he'll be hungry to prove himself to the selectors.

Vijay looked in trouble today too against the short ball. Had he timed that ball well, he would have carried very easily to the ropes because Vijay has good power to put the ball over the ropes. He didnt time it too well and so it went to Pollard. And all that troubles in the previous overs against the short ball played on Vijay's mind and it made him play that way.

Rohit Sharma was unlucky today. Our best batsman in the previous game getting that decision was very unlucky.

Well played WI, employed our tactic nicely although the medium pacers were more effective. What happened to Benn, he bowls one over gets a wicket and concedes 2 runs and doesn't bowl again?

Gayle probably thought he was vulnerable against Yusuf and Dhoni later on, also seeing as the pacers were doing the job, if it's not broken don't fix it. ;)

Still an experience player can help the team in every situation.

Yep. We need someone like Sachin or Dravid back to stabilize our batting.

The commentators spoke about the team missing Sehwag. Viru bhai - put your legs up and have a nice drink and celebrate! You are very lucky today. This team has made you look like legend (when you are obviously not even close to being very good!).

Told you lot the IPL would ruin Indian cricket but no one listened, because Modi was such a hero and going to breed a new generation of Indian superstars :sarcasm Think we can safely say that has totally failed. Indian cricket needs a total overhaul, if they carry on like this, they are just going to end up as the same sort of strength as someone like Pakistan or West Indies. Better then minnow's but not much else.

What absolute crap.

Man, I am really getting tired of this nonsense. Everything that happens in cricket is India's fault, or the BCCI had something to do with it, or Lalit Modi's new scheme for world domination. :sarcasm We lost because our team selection was absolutely horrendous, we went in unchanged after our worst loss in YEARS, in any format. We have no balance in the side, no 3rd seamer (seriously, wtf, on the most seaming track in WI, playing in the morning) and have a bunch of n00bs in our batting lineup.
Indian cricket does NOT need an overhaul. Are you seriously saying this after one T20 loss? This format does not matter to me at all. Btw Tom, we are the number one Test team in the world, but hey, you'll probably say that Modi was behind that too. :sarcasm

Oh, and at least we don't have to resort to importing our cricketers from better cricketing nations, hell you even gave captaincy to a few of em.

Our Captain and Management are more responsible for loss.

Dainik Bhaskar ka Slogan ZIDD KARO...... Dhoni ke Dimaag mein Baith Gaya Hai. ;)

Turning point - The direct hit by Bravo therefore a wicket of Dhoni.

We lost it when Pathan got out. Harbhajan can hit but he is not a reliable customer in these types of pressure situations and Dhoni is not the same marauding hitter anymore.

What I don't understand is why Dhoni kept himself so low. He should have come in 3 down, when wickets were falling. He does this for CSK and is doing it for India too.

If you bat so flingingly ridiculous for the most part of the fifteen overs, then you shouldn't really be expecting to win a match. And what's with this flinging problem with the short ball? We have had this thing for ages now, but no one seems to bother about it.
