Could be quite a good tactic for NZ, NcCullum is quite used to bowling within the powerplays, and Vettori and Woodcock slowing the pace down in the middle could be quite effective.

After seeing this start you would be hard pressed not to try it.

Things looking easier with the part time of Taylor in so at least they can take care of part time spinners.

The batsmen certainly are pinning a lot of hope on the quicks to get the job done. Still minimal acceleration with 2 overs in the powerplay gone. Mpofu throwing is ridiculously good, the runout of Ponting then he backed it up a few overs later with one right over the stumps.

Great performance so far from Zimbabwe! Not going to be easy for them to chase what ever Australia gets to though. Only Taylor and Chigumbura have had much form recently, it seams like Coventry has been out of form for ages. Williams has been doing quite alot of bowling domestically which looks to have payed off.

Good effort by Zimbabwe in the field, they aren't to be underestimated and the target is achievable, but can they cope with Australia's high quality pace attack?
