4th Test: England v Australia at Leeds

I do agree about this whole leaving the field stuff. If you go off to nip to the toilet, or to go have a chat with the management, then do it but don't expect a replacement on the field. If you have an injury, well thats another matter.

I'd hoped to see the batsmen affected by this, but obviously not.

How the crap has this happened. Stuart Broad's comfortably the pick of the bowlers

tbf, I thought he was our most impressive on the final day at Edgbaston.

It's not good though, cause if Broad's been our best, the rest must have been shite, which alas, they invariably have in these past two days of Tests.

Where's Swann!! And no Zorax he is not on a platter or flying round the ground.
Ofcourse not. He's down at mid-off.

Hit him in the head Harmy, atta boy.

Jimmy's bowling rubbish, Harmy not much different. Harmy's getting the odd good ball.

I actually agree, pretty sure I said the same at the end of that final day at Edgbaston. 2/38 he finished with in that innings, and he's 2/29 here. Should certainly help his overall bowling average, which is much needed as far as he's concerned. He's now back averaging under 40, 39.25 right now, with the strike rate down from 73.6 to 72.1. Not a massive change, but it's good to see his figures moving in the right direction again, hopefully it'll continue to go in the right direction.

Prior averaging 47.48 with the bat now as well. That's a heck of a record for a keeper, he's played 22 Tests as well, very good going.

Maybe my fear of eating my words about Harmison haven't arisen. Anderson is clearly not 100% fit.

THe one ball Jimmy pitched up, looked like getting a wicket, pitch it up Jimmy

That is out. Hit the glove itself. It didn't hit flesh. Michael Clarke has had some decisions going his way in this series. Lucky boy.

Gah, Clarke (possibly) out and not given. That's all it takes to crush Harmy's morale...

Pitch it up Jimmy. Pitch it up.

That was out. This partnership has been pain in English arse this series.

North's first run for half an hour. Looked very suspect tonight, and that was a thick edge through slip. Looked rubbish today, just hope he gets out early morning.

End of the day, Australia lead by 94 runs. 'Australia's day you could say' chirps David Lloyd, you reckon Bumble? Bad day for England, only positive was the bowling of Stuart Broad. Going to need a miracle day tommorow.

Yea but there is no rush at all for him, its the 1st day (hard to believe now). He might be setting up for a long innings

I reckon the best we can expect from this is to hold on for a draw and try to get a win or draw at the Oval. Pathetic first day by England.

England will need close to 600 runs in third innings. I dont see this batting line up getting there,
