4th Test: England v Australia at Leeds

If they have a lead of over 170 we'll have definitely lost the game. We'll need to bat brilliantly in the 2nd innings whatever. If we can have a lead of 200-250 by some miracle at the end of our 2nd innings we'll give ourselves a real chance, any less than that and it'll be an easy chase for Australia given our bowling. I reckon chasing 200 will be very difficult on this track, especially if it's overcast.

It is extremely tough if not next to impossible for england if they concede a lead of around 200 and a middle order of Bopara,Bell,Collingwood and Prior just doesn't inspire any confidence.

I'm so disappointed in myself for falling asleep last night. My laptop was getting really hot, so I turned it off and started watching a movie. Then I fell asleep from there, and jumped up when I woke, and saw that I'd missed from lunch onwards. :(

I'm still really proud of the team, we didn't let the tail wag, got them cheap, and have a big lead on day 1. If we don't win it from here (weather permitting), we don't deserve to win the Ashes.

Gun bowling Siddle, Clark and Hilfenhaus, plus Watto, Punter have done well with the bat. Hope Pup can turn this into another ton.

North's first run for half an hour. Looked very suspect tonight, and that was a thick edge through slip. Looked rubbish today, just hope he gets out early morning.

Why do you hate North? One minute he is a flat track bully, the next he is rubbish for fighting for his runs on a tough track.

Australia are firmly in the box seat. It was funny watching the first session and seeing England lose wicket after wicket. All of the bowlers were excellent, in particular Clark and Siddle. Our batting has started well though it would of been nice to see Ponting and Watson go on and make hundreds. Hoping for Australia to build a lead of around 200.

During the lunch break the FoxSports commentators were saying how, we are not going to tell how bad the wicket is until Australia bats. Was the pitch doing much during Australia's innings?

Austraila are in a good position, Peter Siddle bowled brilliantly. If Australia can get a lead of at least 150 runs then I think they got the 4th test in the bag.

Good all-round performance by the team, couldnt believe we bowled them out for 102. Good batting by Watson and Ponting as well, hope Clarke coverts this to another ton.

Its the usual case of one side's bowlers bowling perfectly for the pitch while the other suddenly has the urge to bounce Ponting.

Going to be another tricky period this morning but if they can get themselves in again the English could stray back to the lines they bowled yesterday.

Aus still lead by 94 and 6 wickets in hand, Ponting really played well,he was playing his shots,he was getting boundaries easily, missed on 100 but played really well, its upto Clarke and North now, they should get min 300+ lead...

Beautiful shot by Ravi Bopara. Keep him in the side for the next test thanks.

haha they really need to get rid of Bopara.. but who would they bring in for him? Samit Patel:p

why do you think Samit Patel would replace Bopara? because they are both Indian?

Patel is a bowling allrounder who bats lower down the order, Bopara is a attacking batsman. The only similarity I see in them is their ethnicity.

Pretty shallow of you.

I was only joking with the Samit Patel comment.
