A Leftie's draft

Some very good picks going around. I'd have picked Strauss/Taylor but I already had two openers. Starting to wish I'd picked Tubby though, he could have slotted in at 4.

What?? Tubby never batted #4 in his life. You've already slipped the Kat down the order even though he's done best at the top. Why not just pick all openers then :laugh

I know that, I'm just saying he's class enough for me to have slotted in at four.

Katich has done his best stuff in the middle order, at least at First Class level.

Richard Collinge

Im not even gonna lie I got no clue about this guy. At 6'5 he must have been a handful for the batsman.
At 6ft 5ins, Richard Collinge was a menacing prospect for any batsman. He approached the wicket off a notoriously lengthy, long-striding run, hands clawing the air. He bowled left-arm fast-medium deliveries of consistent accuracy, at a length full enough to make good use of any swing.

1. Gary Kirsten
2.
3.
4.
5.
6. Clive Lloyd*
7. Ridley Jacobs
8. Bobby Peel
9. Derek Underwood
10.
11. Richard Collinge

^At least you're honest :p This draft is one that's definitely going to be pulling up some unknowns - especially fast bowlers by the end.

On my short list of bowlers I have one more pace bowler and 3 spinners. For batsman I got plenty but I'm disappointed because Lloyd could have been Akram and there were and still are better batsman and keepers then Jacobs.

Just a note to the 3 guys that are ahead of me. If you get online please make your picks because Ill be going to bed early(in about 3 hours) and if we don't get to my pick then you will have to wait a long time to get the rest of the round done.

Is he the batsman? Because being hooked for four isn't a very flattering image for a bowler...

Considering Dare's got him at No. 11 then I'm guessing not. Mind you that might be the best photo available of the man.

Yeah I had Collinge about 3 on my pace bowling wish list. There's still one I've got ahead of him...

Dare has totally thrown a wrench into my plans here. Give me a little bit of time lads, need to back to the drawing boards...
