Former players rise up to Zorax's defense!
Leonard, Gamble and Griffin rubbish racisim claims!

Former TT Lion cricketers Mike Leonard, Chris Gamble and Charles Griffin have come to the defense of TT Lions manager Zorax Doom, who has come under plenty of fire recently from the media and fans for his decision to play Keith Andrews over Xavier Eli.
"Zorax is no racist," quipped Mike Leonard. "He is a fabulous manager and a great team man, playing under him was a fantastic experience. He is not nor ever was a racist, in any form of the word. He was a great manager who gave everyone in the team a fair chance, and I'm sure he knows what he is doing."
Former TT Lions paceman and host of the popular show "Tuesday's Top Player Interview" Chris Gamble also had a few words for the media:
"I feel Zorax is a fine manager, and is not a racist. Sure, he may be a bit hypocritical at times, but he is a very fair manager and the way he has taken this team of talented individuals to the top shows it. There is obviously great chemistry between the team, and that isn't possible with racism. Why just look at the likes of Ryan Crouch and Leeroy Spearitt, both of them are black, but yet are highly talked of by Zorax. All this racism stuff is just rubbish, I'm sure Eli will get his chance soon enough"
Another former player known as 'Charlo' Griffin spoke out as well.
"Zorax is a great guy and fantastic manager. It may seem a bit boggling, but I am 100% sure he knows what he is doing. We should all have faith in Zorax after all he has done for the team"

Cooksey will be of immense value for our team in the future.:)

Eli: "I would love a game"

Young spinner Xavier Eli has stated in an interview in a local magazine that he "would love a game sometime soon".
Speaking in an interview for the Three Day Gossip magazine, he was quoted saying that he would like a game soon for the TT Lions.
"I'm itching to get on the field and play, I've been working hard and hope to win a spot. I would love a game sometime soon!"
When questioned whether he would be dissapointed about not playing a game as yet, he responded:
"I am not bitter about not playing recently. It's Zorax's job to decide who plays or not, and he knows better and I respect his decision. Keith is a fabulous bowler, and I have learnt a lot from him over the past week or so"
The TT Lions next game is tommorrow is an away League game against the Port Royale Pirates.

TT Lions vs. Port Royal Pirates

At last, a challenge! This game is expected to be crucial for both teams. The winning team will get off to a great start in the season, and it is very likely that the team who wins this match will win the league this season. The Lions and the Pirates are the best two teams of the league by far, and the ratings show it:
Code:
		[B]Port Royal Pirates	TT Lions[/B]

[B]Top Order:[/B]	respectable competent
[B]Middle Order:[/B]	feeble mediocre
[B]Lower Order:[/B]	abysmal abysmal
[B]Seam Bowling:[/B]	feeble strong
[B]Spin Bowling:[/B]	proficient proficient
[B]Fielding:[/B] mediocre feeble
As you can see, not much to choose. The Lions hold an edge in their middle order and in their superior seam attack. However, the pitch is expected to be a dustbowl to support the Pirates' lethal three man spin attack of Allan Arber, Julian Salmon and Larry Ferry, so Folkes, Crouch and Rudi may not play such a large role. THe key to success will be exploiting the first 15 overs against the quick bowlers on a placid pitch, and the Pirates seem to win on that. However, Whing is in the form of his life and Abdeen has shown quite a bit of promise, so you don't know. The Lion's seam attack also utilise the new ball better than the Pirates seamers, so it's hard to choose which team will get off to the better start. The Lion's have a stronger middle order though, but the Pirates are much sharper in the field, so they will be able to cut down the ones and twos.
So, as a result, the toss may decide everything. The winning team would love to bat first and rack up a huge score, then let their spinners wreck havoc.
That leads us to the team selection. Zorax has come under heavy fire of late for selection Andrews over the young, raw talent of Xavier Eli, so we can guarantee you everyone's eyes will be on who gets into the starting XI. There are rumours that the Lions may field a 3 man spin attack too, with Folkes the likely one to miss out, but nothing has been confirmed. However, it would be rather unwise of Zorax to select Andrews, and in the process lose the faith of hundreds of fans all over. The rest of the lineup is expected to be the same as in the previous games, with skipper Bill Tuckett likely to play a very large role...
Overall, expect the match to be a cracker. This game may be won by one fantastic individual performance, just that one good over, and you can be sure everyone will be giving it their all.

Playing XI (Expected): Whing, Abdeen (+), Rudi, Gallagher, Crouch, Finlayson, Shipp, Spearitt, Eli, Tuckett (*), Folkes.

i guess its a wise decision to include Eli now ;) Gud luck for the match this weekend!

Zorax speaks out!
Defends Andrews' inclusion!

TT Lions manager Zorax Doom has spoken out, after accusations of racism and after coming under heavy fire of late!
"I feel these racism allegations are just plain rubbish," claimed Zorax.
"Eli is definately a great prospect, but what he, and the fans, need to realise is that here is lots of competition from Keith Andrews for the spot of the second spinner. Keith has performed exceptionally over the last season or so for the team, and Eli will need to work really hard if he wants a spot.
With regard to racism claims, Zorax had to say:
"It just plain BS. I don't know where these idiots get it from. I am not racist. I'd even let a big purple dinosaur with green polka dots play in the team if he was good enough!"
On that note, Zorax stormed off the stage. We will bring you more news on this when it is available.

Nice work with this story, you are tempting me to start a BT one, but knowing me it wouldn't last long. I like the tips cause I helps me to learn new things about BT and refresh my memory on the stuff I have already learnt.

Great job mate,
