Everyone, say hello the the TT Lions newest team member:

A great deal at 175K. Probably might play tommorrow, good chances of him making his debut.

Nice pick up, I was looking for someone like that but don't have the cash. :(

Friday's Financial Report

financeshm8.jpg

Well, Cutler's purchase dented the bank for like a day and put me deep into debt, but today's home game has helped me go into a profit. However, I have no more home games for 3 weeks! So 80K will have to do. At the moment, investment in ITS is low as I needed the cash for Cutler, but now I'll probably make it back to 20K. But nothing serious, I should survive, and then reap in the cash...

Will 80K be enough to last 3 weeks? Find out in the next

You should survive another 3 weeks without going into debt. Unless match-fixing comes into it :p

nice work again Zorax, continously brilliant and that is why you get my SOTM vote

Great batting overall and some fine bowling made for a very one sided match as the TT Lions thrashed dream team the legen.
After winning the toss, Bill Tuckett decided to have a bat. Cutler and Giddings walked out, the former on his debut. After a steady start which brought 33 runs from 8 overs, Giddings exploded, as the white ball flew to all corners. Cutler showed his experience as he found the gaps and milked easy ones and twos, while Giddings used the long handle to great effect. Giddings fell in the 31st over, bowled by spinner Louis, to end a fantastic 203 run opening partnership. To much suprise yet much cheer, Ryan Crouch was the new man in. With Cutler he ran the quick ones and twos all while occassionaly finding the gap. However, the 32 year old Cutler didn't last much longer, and wasn't quick enough to block out a fiery yorker from Zesh Major. A fine innings from the debutant, definately securing a spot in the team. Rudi walked in with 11 overs left in the innings, the score 246/2. And from there on, it was carnage. Crouch and Rudi sent the white ball flying to all corners of the bark in a brilliant a belligerent 114 run partnership, off just 66 legal deliveries. Rudi got his fifty in the 49th over, while Crouch missed out on a century. The score was 360/2, and it seemed defendable.
The dream team the legen openers had a mighty task ahead of them. They survived the first two overs though as Folkes and Rudi struggled to find their line, but Rudi struck gold with the last ball of the third with a dodgy LBW decision. Soft, the best batsman in the team, hit a few good shots and looked set in before getting a nasty lifter from Rudi and edging into Cutler's hands at slip. Fray swatted a low fulltoss two balls later to Crouch at midwicket, and dream team the legen had slumped to 24/3. Lyttle fell in Rudi's next over in similar fashion to Soft, and the allrounder had a sniff at a five wicket haul. But a bout of the cramps means he had to go off the field after a fine 7 over spell. Tuckett struck twice in his over by dismissing Lekgethoand Major, and from there on there could only be one result. The tailenders ran themselves out has the RRR creeped to above ten, and the Lions wrapped up a convincing 294 runs win. Coeries played a lone hand with a good 30, nearly half his team's runs.

Ratings:

Good ratings, pretty much the same as they have been all season. Cutler deserved his MOTM although Rudi was a good runner up.

Attendance:

A full house, but only 220K. I use to get more, I think they've changed the engine or something. Beh, still a good amount.

Join us tommorrow as the Lions pay a visit to the Bloemfontein Oval to play the, you guessed it, BFN Bombers!

What a victory :D India need performances like this in WC :p Unforgettable day for debutant Cutler with a magnificent century!

Also Zorax, u missed my favourite show i guess " Saturday's Suprise fact " :)

Saturday's Suprising Fact!

Today's fact relates to young Keeper-batsman Mohaideen Abdeen. Mohy here still has the exact pair of keeping gloves he wore when he took his first catch as a keeper, back when he was just 12. He hasn't washed them since, and wears them during practice before a game. Suprisingly, they still fit!

Join us next week for another Suprising Fact!

Here came my favourite show :happy

The thing of using the same gloves suprised only a little... But...... Did not wash them for so long  this has given me a huge shock! I pity the fielders standing near him during practice :rtfl :laugh lol ;) This is really a huge suprise.

well no wonder he doesnt do well in training... i suppose even his bat is the old one...

Match Preview
Friendly Match
TT Lions vs. BFN Bombers
Bloemfontein Oval
Sunday 18/02/2007, 07:30 GMT

Another Friendly match to pass the time before the Cup, and while it won't be as close as the Falcons match, it should still be good to watch. The BFN Bombers are a team on the rise, with a fabulous young bowling attack, spearheaded by talented young paceman Eddie Samuel, which has proven to be more than a match for several other teams. It should be a great contest between the Bombers' bowling and the Lions' batting.
At last look, the ratings were:
Code:
		[B]TT Lions	BFN Bombers[/B]

[B]Top Order:[/B]	competent competent
[B]Middle Order:[/B] competent mediocre
[B]Lower Order:[/B]	abysmal abysmal
[B]Seam Bowling:[/B]	proficient mediocre
[B]Spin Bowling:[/B]	quality medicore
[B]Fielding:[/B] feeble woeful
According to the ratings, it should be an easy win for the Lions. But the BFN Bombers bowlers are not to be underrated, and they could easily spring a suprise or two. A few early wickets could really have the Lions in danger.
But then again, if the BFN Bombers want to win this, they are going to have to negotiate the TT Lions bowling. And that's where they might struggle. But one good innings, and all can change...
The pitch is expected to be pacy and bouncy, to assist the BFN quickies, and the weather sunny. The Lions will play full strength, with Cutler, Abdeen and Eli replacing Dennis, Atkinson and Spearitt. This should be a high scoring game with some quality pace bowling, one not to be missed!

Playing XI (Expected): Cutler, Giddings, Abdeen (+), Rudi, Crouch, Gallagher, Whing, Finlayson, Eli, Tuckett (*), Folkes.
