Hoping to meet u and Briggs in div I as third team to promote throught play off.

We'll see about that :p

Seriously, the play-offs will be great. I can't predict either of the semi's, let alone the winner!

same here.
But in my opinion TT Lions were better than all of us 4 teams so getting rid of them is an advantage for us.
These play-offs will be really intresting. Looking forward to play u FF

Congrats on your promotion Zorax, maybe you can finally take out the PC title :)
Hopefully. The Cricket Geniuses, Bushwhackers and Everton will be the teams to beat...

Match Review
Friendly Match
TT Lions vs. BFN Bombers
Bloemfontein Oval

Sunday 18/02/2007, 07:30 GMT

scorecardla8.jpg

A late surge from Ryan Crouch and some brilliant bowling overall led the Lions to a 110 run win in what truly was a team effort.
After winning the toss yet again, Bill Tuckett chose to bat. It was a sunny day and the pitch was a belter. However, the bowling was extremely disciplined alround, and the Lions ticked at only about 4 an over for most of the innings. Cutler's experience came in to good use as his milked the bowling for runs, but Giddings and Abdeen couldn't score as quick as they liked. Abdeen still managed to get his maiden OD fifty, but didn't carry on. At 145/3, the Lions were in need for a late surge. And they got just that, with 109 runs put between Crouch and Rudi in 12.3 overs to take the Lions to 254. Youngster bird and spearhead Samule got the brunt of the assault as the ball flew all over the park as Ryan Crouch cut loose in his brilliant 63. Breen bowled very well throughout, tesing the batsmen with flight and changes in pace.
In reply, the BFN Bombers got off to a terrible start, losing 5 wickets in the first 15 overs, and were never in it since then. Sparrow went down in a balze of glory, clubbing two sixes and looking dangerous before Crouch held a blinder in the deep. Eli bowled well to help finish things off, bowling quite the opposite to Breen by spearing the ball in and drying the runs, forcing the batsmen to commit mistakes.

Ratings:

Good ratings at full-strength. The BFN Bombers were outclassed in bowling, and that was the difference. Crouch fully worthy of his MOTM, although Cutler has been in great form so far.

Attendance:

Quite low, but some cash nonetheless.

Join us on Friday when the Lions head over to the ketchy shuby CG!

Mondays trip to the Nets.

Monday is the day on which the Training Updates occur on BT. It's when you get the see the fruit of all the net sessions you have invested in your players along with their hard work. If you are lucky, they may improve -or as it is know in Battrick jargon, 'pop'- in a skill.

Here are this week's trainees:
Mohaideen Abdeen (1 wicketkeeping net, 1 fitness net, 1 fielding net, 1 batting net): Wicketkeeping Pop, (BTR) increase.
Xavier Eli (2 bowling nets, 1 fitness net): No pops, BTR increase.
Wavell Folkes (2 bowling nets, 1 fitness net): Bowling pop, BTR increase

Good pops on Folkes and Abdeen. But I would like a batting pop on Abdeen sometime soon...

Crouch shd be Tendulkar of TTLions :p As i expected, bowlers have yet again done for TTLions :)

ooo soo close, congrats to chimpert and Congrats to Zorax an amazing win once again

Congrats on the promotion. I think I got 2/4 the quiz. Not bad considering it was my first go.

Poor Maxkarter now he knows how I feel to be smashed :p

Those nets look similar to mine, but my is more batsmen based.

well zorax's team is probably the best in the league by a long shot, there's no shame in losing to him :p
