TT Lions vs. Armadillos

Another day, and should be another win. The last time these two teams met this season, the Lions cruised home by 214 runs. Don't expect this match to be any different.
At last look, the ratings went something like:
Code:
		[B]TT Lions Armadillos[/B]

[B]Top Order:[/B]	competent feeble
[B]Middle Order:[/B]	respectable woeful
[B]Lower Order:[/B]	abysmal worthless
[B]Seam Bowling:[/B]	superb feeble
[B]Spin Bowling:[/B]	strong mediocre
[B]Fielding:[/B] feeble woeful
As you can see, the Lions are clear favourites. The pitch is expected to be green, the weather a sunny if a bit overcast at times. The Lions will look to rest Eli and Abdeen, for the big match on Sunday. Williams is expected to make is OD debut, with Finlayson keeping wicket.
Overall, expect an easy win for the Lions on what should be a good day for cricket.

Playing XI (Expected): Cutler, Giddings, Williams, Rudi, Crouch, Gallagher, Whing, Finlayson (+), Atkinson, Tuckett (*), Folkes.

This time too, it shd be an easy win. Good news that Eli is taking a rest this match! :)

Friday's Financial Report

financesfj5.jpg

We've done it! We have a home game next week, so no more chances of us going into debt! Unless I do something stupid of course...
Anyways, the transfers of Newby, Butcher and Drayton should bring in a good 70K or so between them. Hopefully we can save up enough to sign a good batsman by the end of the season.

Will the Lions be rolling in dough or knee deep in debt by the end of the week? Find out on the next

Home games are always there to rescue ;) Also, the sales of players have fetched you around 60+ K... so you are very very safe :)

Yea, looking good now financially, although I do have an eye on a few batsmen...
Updates just-a around the-a corner!

8 in a row now, after yet another relatively easy win. Excellent bowling overall and a good knock from Cutler sealing the win by 9 wickets.
After winning the toss, Roger Allanson decided to have a bat on their home ground. But it was a bad choice, as wickets fell at regular intervals to leave the Armadillos tottering at 27/3. Allanson lead from the fron with an excurciatingly slow 29, as Rudland failed to convert a decent start, and Mulligan was left stranded with no partners. No one else passed double digits as the Lions proved to be too hot to handle. Tuckett was exceptional, conceding just 7 runs in 10 overs. Rudi, Folkes and Crouch all chipped in, while Atkinson had a dissapointing day.
Chasing 119, Giddings and Cutler got the team off to a good start with a solid 71 run partnership. Giddings sliced one to point, where Giles held a good catch, but that was never going to be enough. Debutant Williams and the experienced Cutler saw the team home with 30 overs and 9 wickets to spare, Cutler getting a fifty on the way. Finlayson had a tidy day behind the stumps, three catches and a neat stumping. Cutler continued his brilliant form, and Folkes is coming leaps and bounds as a bowler. A good win overall, should give them some confidence -well, more confidence then they already had- going into Sunday's game against the Geniuses.

Great ratings for a slightly understrength side. Fair enough MOTM, although I feel Tuckett bowled exceptionally.

Attendance:

The fans seem to be fed up after substandard performances from their team. No matter, we don't get any cash anyways.

Join us tommorrow as the Lions take on the PC Championship Quarter-finalists Cricket Geniuses!!
