One can argue the merits/De merits of the case but at the end of the day, that is the rule, which the teams need to follow. I couldn't convey that in proper manner, due to lack of my English language knowledge.

And for the second one (IPL Contract thingy), I was wrong. You people (dunno if Ollie said so) said that your team din't had choice of getting Taylor, which turned out to be true.

I din't knew that IPL had such a idiotic note in its Terms and Conditions.
As its the re auction time for IPL, the new Chairman should make a rule such that there is no rule like this.

Binnu after all you were saying about the ECB and PCB scheduling their county season and ODI series so they couldn't participate in the Champions League. Take a look at this then;

The Champions League runs from September 10-26 which coincides with the closing two weeks of the domestic season, including the conclusion of the County Championship and CB40, and also England's one-day series against Pakistan. The ECB had brought the end of the season forward by a week under the belief the tournament would be held in late September but it was shifted so that India could play Australia.

So it turns out everything you have said in the thread is wrong. Blinkers off now I do believe.

100% agree with Biggy, what a joke that Taylor's not playing for CD, considering he's their main player, and the backbone of their batting.

The Champions League wasn't created to determine who the best 20/20 domestic team is though, thats the problem. It was seen as nothing but another chance to parade the IPL teams around and lay claim to having the best 20/20 tournament in the world (Which funnily enough they couldn't do after last years fiasco).

I actually don't think I am going to watch even a bit of this tournament. It has just turned into a joke and I've lost my whatever interest I had. IPL has gone the same way for me.

I don't agree with most of your views in cricket discussion atleast. Well I don't care what you think of a tournament or whatever else. Well the cricketers and teams participating are no slouchs, so you joke thingy isn't justified. Won't say any more than it.

well for me, This this will be one of the tournaments that would interest me besides, India-SA, India-Aus, current Pak-Eng. So I'm waiting for it.

Lol. Whats so ridiculous with that? I was in Pakistan a few weeks back, and the way Star Cricket was over-emphasising CLT20 was unbelievable. Tbh the pitches and the quality of cricket just wasnt there in the first edition.

Personally speaking I am not really looking forward to the CLT20 as well. Its over-hyped and has alot more stuff than just cricket in it. I'd rather watch England-Pakistan even though its one sided.

Maybe so, but thats not it. I was excited last time around, but havent been feeling it this time. Also I think some of us have slipped into watching the TEST mode (I have) so I dont feel like watching the T20s now.

Shahid Afridi has qualified, but he's busy playing for Pakistan.

CLT20 should have used bit of brain. They must have invited teams from Pakistan, which would have allowed Kevin Pietersen, Shahid Afridi and Eoin Morgan to play as England V Pakistan would have been canceled by PCB, once PCB had a sigh of getting huge amount of bucks from CLT20:laugh.
