Any Americans playing DBC?

Hi All -

I live in a suburb of Chicago and am NOT an ex-pat, just a crazy American who happens to enjoy cricket. (Not sure how it started; likely because I watched British soccer and occasionally cricket would come up in a conversation.) I just paid $69 for the PS4 version...and that's AFTER I got the PS3 version downloaded. Love the game, but totally suck at batting so far. (Did Amateur setting on PS3, but resolved to do Pro on PS4.) Of course, it doesn't help that I'm 55 years old and my reflexes aren't quite what they used to be!

Hey Ken welcome to the forum, have a look through and you will get some great tips to help your batting. Mine would be to block anything on the stumps, leave anything wide of off-stump and play the balls going down leg until you get your Batsman's confidence up then you can start playing a few more shots.

Glad to know there are folks other than ex-pats who follow cricket are actually into cricket video games! :thumbs

My ex partner (before she moved bach to Arkansas) used to play this with me a lot and enjoyed the world cup with me and I know as we stil Skype and talk as friends it is still in her interests and we had a game recently as I bought her a copy as I bought mine.

Rare time an ex can become a good long distance friend. Tbh though, we only dated 2 months thank god. And not much of a contribution I know, but it's another.

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I'm reading, reading, reading all the forum tips I can find! I've been out for a duck a few times, but finally managed something like an embarrassing 9 runs out of 30-some balls! Small steps, I guess!

I'm an ex-pat in New York.
I recently bought the PS4 version when I was back visiting Melbourne the other week.
Still getting the hang of it all....but it's a pretty good game.
