Ashes-2023 England VS Australia 16 June-31 July

I have a feeling Aussies are going to canter this: 280 for 3 or summat.

Just dont see us cutting through the batting line-up with this pitch and type of bowler.....Ali would need to play avery significant role...does he have that in him?

Yeah we are no threat to them whatsoever

Surprised Johnny went for that one....
Too late sadly, needed to do it at 6-0

If the weather remains clear for tomorrow, I see Aussies winning this one!

Or keep Broad on!

Brave brave catch from Johnny...cemented his position until his own kid is old enough to take over.

Get Spectrum Smithy out quickly and we may still have a game.

Is the Marnus luck finally running out?

Jonny about to drop him 5 times in the next match
The absence of Ben Foakes has been genuinely quite painful to watch, especially with Carey delivering a masterful performance with the gloves on this week. Picking Moeen ahead of Dawson or even another quick has also been another head scratcher; we all love Mo, but sometimes loving him means not asking him to do a job he's not physically prepared for anymore.

But really a lot of credit has to go to the Australians - they have four of the five best Test batters in the world at the moment (the fifth being Root), the best fast bowler in the world, one of the top three spinners in the world and probably a top two or three gloveman as well. They're World Test Champions completely on merit, and on a purely man vs man basis they're the better team here. (But they were in 2005 and never 5get how that went)

Marnus doesn’t average above 40 in any country outside Australia, with minimum 4 innings
