You’re instructed to avoid being dismissed like this at lower levels of cricket because it is a thing that happens and you get ripped apart for it, instead the team’s doubling down on it being unfair without truly seeming like they think it’s YJB’s fault.

On another note, not calling up Foakes at this point despite knowing about Pope’s injury looks like PCB ignoring Fawad all those years because everyone else wanted him in. Lawrence at three just sounds mid but at least he’s replacing the player who has been the worst batter so far this series for England.

It is and I suspect he can do what Lawrence contributes with the bat on average but will they do it? May also allow them to get away with four seamers and Stokes as a specialist batter.

I can't see it happening but it's one of those calls that wouldn't surprise me. Lawrence can bowl a bit of spin too, which might mean a four seam attack.
