I don't understand either company's marketing strategy, nor do I see how Cricket is in a unique spot where somehow a long lead time on promotion would be a bad thing.
Months ago Trickstar could have gotten an intern to find some angles and cut scenes that could have made up a gameplay video that didn't betray all the bugs in it. But I'm still seeing a bunch of articles that mention AC13 as the only game - if the argument is somehow that someone can't hold interest in cricket for more than a month - you should be out there with media showing why someone should wait for Big Ant's game over AC13, which could still release first.
I certainly don't think it's trolling to wonder why when we have two games releasing within the next three months that we've not seen a video from either showing gameplay.

Martyn I think the definitive difference between Big Ant and Trickstar is that Trickstar have started their "marketing" campaign already, albeit a pretty poor one. Trickstar not releasing a gameplay video right now is more damaging to their image as the general public KNOWS about their game and has been PROMISED things that the company all in all could NOT deliver.
Big Ant have NOT started their marketing campaign, but have been happy to gain general feedback and recognition on a forum. Unfortunately Planet Cricket is not the general public, but a group of likeminded people all obsessed with cricket in some form or another. When Big Ant starts marketing, then you have a point, until then, you have no grounds for what you're saying.
Yes, Ross should still give us something, which he has.
