Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

may be they have delayed their game to accomodate more features in it due to pressure from big ant cricket, like manual appealing wasn't there earlier but now they are confirming it in game here

I don't get the point of the argument anyway. What does it bring? Nowt. Waste of energy. I don't see anybody releasing anything just because someone says they are taking too long.

Whether we like it or not we don't hold any cards and those in charge do. They are the ones who decide what to release, when and how, whatever we say.

Ashes 13 have made a lot of enemies for they way they have handled that process. Ross has given an incredible amount that he didn't have to give if he chose to. He chose to give it. I genuinely think because he actually likes it here and mixing with the fans and having a few laughs. If he didn't want to be here he wouldn't. I really appreciate the way he has gone about it and appreciate all the stuff he has shown and the way he interacts with us and would much rather have the things the way he has done so than with Ashes 13. Remember, if he wanted to we could still be staring at a BA Cricket Coming Soon screen and that would be it.

Do I want to see more? Sure. Gameplay? Yes, of course. I want to play a new game of cricket as soon as possible but until it is in my hand I have to wait.

Simple. Logical. Done. And nowt I can do about it.

Wrong thread? Maybe. But still wanted my 10 cents in there.

there should be some fun flash games on planet cricket like poker, stick cricket etc to channelize the energy and frustration of fans over here.

The idea that people are like a dog with a bone and cannot give an inch shows *exactly* what they are, no admission that we have actually provided a lot of info, Cricket Academy, Screenshots, and a VIDEO... because such an admission does not support the argument (I use that term very loosely in this respect) in any regard.

Now please ask me exactly the same question for the nth time, from here on I will certainly ignore it (as I should have from the start, my sincere apologies to everyone else here).

I've posted this a number of times, I enjoy the banter, being pushed to think about things from a different perspective, all of it, I know that I will end up with life long friends from here as I have with BigFooty. I still go to the Footy and catch up with them 2 years after the AFL Live was released and we are not even making Footy now (:(). I cannot wait, most sincerely, for when we have the play sessions and I get to see the smiles and enjoyment that I know people will get when they have their hands on this game.

Most definitely, already set up for EB in Swanston Street, Melbourne.

*ps please don't hassle them for a date

I think he's already on Swanston Street... strange sign written on a piece of card board... couldn't make it out exactly...

^^^
Thinking about it, 79C can't be based in Melbourne else he would have reached you by now :p

We can all agree, that Ross is better at interacting with the fans. I am hopeful that this would lead to excellent game. Chief and the 505/Trickstar has done a lot to sour the relationship between the fans and themselves. This is likely to hurt them in the long run and could possibly dampen sales.

While I remain skeptical which I believe is healthy and wise given our previous disappointments. I like Ross, although I would advise him not to post on this forum and watch AFL

Not even a 100 screenshots, trailers or even an open beta can compensate the fact that Ross allowed the PC family to be a part of HIS 'pet project'. That's the VERY thing that we cricket fans were deprived of and Ross provided us with that VERY thing : Allowing the cricket lovers to be a part of the development the game. As someone said "A game by a fan, for the fans" :cheers:cheers

I think we have a winner for the first person to guess 79crickets job! :thumbs
Btw ross, your avatar pic.......am I seeing an achievement tile there? Score 10000 runs with a created player perhaps? ;)

I would say that it is extremely stubborn to refuse to release any gameplay footage so close to release. Blatant hypocrisy I.m afraid.

You seem to be trying to create a clique on this site without any foundation behind it.

Your philosophy seems to be one of "abuse the perceived enemy".

You are a very manipulative poster. When asked to put your money where your mouth is you respond by saying that I have no right to even ask about game footage lol.

It's healthy to be skeptical, that's why we have provided info, screenshots, video, and will have play sessions prior to release... you will get to try before you buy or at least converse with people who have.

I beleive No one in the games industry has been as open as we have. I have delivered on time or early with all that has been promised and all that I have predicted has come to pass.
