Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

I think people need to get a better understanding of what a troll is. Troll is not someone who has a different opinion to yours. Troll is someone like the naveencc guy.

It's ok to be skeptical and folks who are shouldn't be termed as trolls. This is a public forum and I believe most people come on here so that they can share opinions & views with folks with similar tastes (cricket) but with differing view-points. If you deem folks with differing views as trolls why even bother joining and posting on a forum?

Or someone that posts the same thing ad nauseum and ads nothing...

Simply ignore him in that case or go with tried & tested "No Comments" :p IMO everyone is entitled to skepticism, especially in cricket gaming community where we have seen likes of EA Cricket 2009 or Gambience's Cricket Life or a broken IC 2010.

For crying out loud, I am a bit of skeptic as well (read my siggy :p)... not that I don't trust you but just because the game sounds too good to be true to a hardcore cricket gaming fan who has been waiting ages for a decent cricket game :( And you know what they say about things sounding too good to be true ;)

martyn is a bit more skeptical but it's his opinion. I am sure if and when the game comes out, likes of me and martyn would be eating humble pies and hailing you as our messiah :cheers

Well in that case, anyone who posts

"when is release date?" or "give us more screenshots" etc over and over, by this definition is a troll also...

"Troll" is a convenient term used when trying to get people banned from forums.

Often used to others by the real trolls...who are far too smart to get banned.

While I do think Martyn has taken it a bit far. I do not think that we should be tame in questioning of either studio. They both have a lot to prove. Given the history of Cricket gaming and the utter
sh!t that has been produced by among others, EA Sports, Trickstar and Codemasters. Ross has done
a lot of good things so far, but he has made his fair share of strange and questionable decisions as well. If we want the game we need and deserve, we need to question everything, criticise when necessary and if we appear over-critical so be it. We have been hardened by the bitter taste of disappointment . Game studios should be wise enough to realize this. Our feedback is paramount
and our criticism warranted. Studios should deal with it and should not get defensive so easily.

I really want this thread to get back on track - discussion of 'trolling' has gone on enough now.
Anyone who thinks members are trolling should use the Report post button and let Admin decide

Right.

All this distracts us from trying to get to the bottom of the refusal to post gameplay footage.

We all want video of both games but the wait continues, if you asked yourself 6 months ago that we would still be waiting for both games i would have said no way you are joking. PS I like ross and bigant for the down to earth feel these guys give us, sure ross likes to kick trickstar down when they are near death but they have only themselves to blame for this. Still they are trying with these new 10 questions they have posted for the last 2 week.
