Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

Surely we will hear something from them this coming week.

People have been saying that very thing since early september...

It's out of his hands...

True but in that case Fegan shouldn't have let his mouth write checks his @$$ couldn't cash. He's not a newbie in video gaming industry, and lying or making over the top promises about things he doesn't have any control over only makes him and his organization (Trickstar) look like nincompoops.

You got any news on AC13 then?

The situation was always going to be that Trickstar delivered something to 505 and the latter then decided whether it was worth publishing or not. That decision will be made (may have been made) based on cost, reputation etc.
At that point the fact we've not heard anything from Trickstar for a while is irrelevant. Any information, if and when we get it, will come through 505 games.

Tthe fact we've not heard anything from Trickstar for a while is irrelevant.

It's not, really. The guy came in telling everyone he was going to right the wrongs, reveal all and we would have plenty of information early September. These are all things he said, nothing to do with anything we did. So the fact we've heard, seen and received absolutely nothing since being asked to keep the faith, stay positive and hang in there by the guy with the Trickstar badge on is actually, quite relevant.

Indeed I think the least Mike should have done in the time since 'early September' is be pushing hard to make sure that even if it is outside of his control, that 505 at least communicate something with the community since his last post here or last Facebook Q&A.

The fact we're still getting those random forum posts on the official forums just makes it even worse - that it's not even total silence, it's random blurps of the 'hang in there' stuff still.

A company that cited their engagement with the cricket gaming community as a part of their development process absolutely has an obligation to continue with that. It isn't up to us to accept that we really didn't deserve all that extra attention and to just wait for a publisher that hasn't said anything directly since July.
