Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

Actually, as I warbled on for 20 mins in the last podcast I did, there is absolutely a direct relation between those things. :D

An Ashes Cricket trailer without Ashes players or stadia? Well that's not going to be great is it?

I understand that final promos and some of the trailers will focus on Ashes squad, official licenses and stadiums, specifically MCG for boxing day test, but I'm sure a few trailers would be more focused on gameplay and new features :)

Yeah, but later: The debut "first showing" trailers and screens must surely feature licensed content.

The reason why you have to wait for the full squads to be picked.
So may will be the month when we will see the games first trailer.

Like chief said, if they released now and showed steve smith(hobbit):lol
In the game and then you found out he does not have a contract for
the ashes then the trailer and game will be old already.

I like this way of thinking chief, waiting for the full squad is smart.
p.s will you have only 17 players to pick from or more, if you can answer
then great if not i understand.:D

I'm sure you must have a pool of Aus & Eng cricketers, including A squadders and promising FC cricketers, who have been created in the game and can be added or removed from the game at a moment's notice.

Well, we could add Khawaja, Bird, Smith, Henriques, Ahmed, D Hussey.

Disappointing not to have India licensed. More generic faces and fake names... I know graphics isn't as important as gameplay, but I always feel like of left out as an Indian fan. It does improve the whole gaming experience.

Can't exactly be picky though. Where are the Indian game developers? I would have thought a country with such a huge population and cricket almost being a national sport would find a cricket game somewhere :<

I'm sure the BCCI would be demanding far more for licensing the Indian team than any other board.

I am sure they are, and frankly I dont expect any cricket game to have a fully licensed Indian team in it, unless ofcourse it is developed by an Indian publisher backed by a huge business setup (like maybe Reliance, due to the political influence + big budgets they might possess).

Thats why I believe, it is most important to have a 'good' player editor with the option to share the created content (something which BigAnt seems to have done), as that will ensure that any lack of licensing is not missed by the gamers :).
