As I said, I tried that but when i went to find the team to link to, there was no Bangaldesh under the international list, so I just deleted both and downloaded again ;)

Anyone know If it's possible to add players to a team from the academy mid tour (not ashes series) and have them available to be put in the playing xi

Footwork missing or not same as classic control.
Working absolutely fine with classic control.
No one has covered this point.
This is not a bug the shot is missing.
Please beta testers and all respected seniors please watch this.
Must fix in for next patch[DOUBLEPOST=1511710222][/DOUBLEPOST]It's not a bug so I posted it here its a missing link in ashes 17 with standard control.
Please post this in bug thread for visibility. I even faced this issue many times in matches.

Yeah I honestly think something is seriously wrong with standard controls.

Your shot example

You cannot seam pace deliveries on standard

I do not think you can quickly alter length all the way up to the delivery moment like you can on classic.

I went from standard controls and liking how easy it was to get into to no way I would play this game on anything but classic controls now.

I think I bowled out 1 batsman with pace bowling on standard, since switching to classic 3 days ago I have done it 7 times and each one has felt like yes, what I did on the controller pre-bowl and through delivery was the result I would expect.

Other than spin bowling, I dare say standard controls are broken.

I would hazard a guess that standard controls are designed as such to provide a basic/easier experience. To call them ‘broken’ is an overreaction

Not calling it broken this shot is missing with standard hope u don't have any racism issue when truth is spoken we r just here to improve the game don't know why few elite staff members react drastically when the truth is in front of them.
What do u mean standard is for people who like the game easy.
The shot is missing why u running away from the fact Mr legend snowy sir
* Disclaimer* - I have zero affiliation to Snowy, other than thinking he is a trouper for the way he tries to answer many posts on here (some are logical, some bizarre and many irrational!)

My first reaction to what you raised was pretty similar to his. I think you need to consider that the standard controls may not be able to cater for such a shot to be used with a button push? The 360 degree nature of using the 2 stick method would absolutely allow for this.

At the very beginning when the game loads it even suggests standard controls for an easier experience doesn’t it?

This shot can be only played on classic controls.
Could also be that when You are using standard controls in the video, the timing is quite off?

Is this also what you mean? It's unable to time?

Maybe the control scheme could be renamed to 'basic' and 'advanced' to avoid any confusion? I can see how the standard controls will appeal to more casual players for a pick up and play experience. Whereas the DBC old hats will be more than comfortable using the twin stick ideology and for me it's a more 'realistic' method for want of a better word - but renaming it may go some way to eliminating the confusion.

I can't remember a specific example, but there been many games in the past with 2 control schemes where one limits the functionality to make it simpler to play at the lost of more advanced features.

The only parallel I can draw right now would be a racing game with traction control on, then complaining its not very realistic because you can't spin the tyres :P

I still think the standard controls should have seam function and different types of lengths in the run up. The only thing that should be different is the method.... Ie sticks or buttons The features should be identical. As it stands now standard bowling is a disadvantage with less options

I’m new to the series and found standard bowling controls pretty intense. I’m using classic for bowling and standard for batting.
