@MattW @BigAntStudios. I was enjoying ashes cricket a lot until I realized there are some serious issues in the gameplay which have put me off playing the game. I like to use defensive approach to score runs so these matter a lot to me.

1. The wicket keeper stumps the batman whenever there is a miss ball on the front foot. There is nothing you can do to prevent this from happening even if the batsman stands all the way back in the crease.

2. While chasing in ODIs, the AI field setting is awful! It seems there are 5-6 pre defined fields that frequently changes in a loop almost every other ball regardless of the game situation.

3. In the Test format, the AI uses aggressive field which make senese but the field doesnt change when the batsman starts slogging in a paricular area. E.g. I can hit 6 consecutive balls on cover for a boundary but the AI doesnt bother to place a fielder there to stop those boundaries.

They really need to fix the online runouts. So frustrating when the batter gets stuck in the middle like an idiot. Ruins so many matches.

How did that twistie guy make a 2 over 2 wicket match/8 team tourney?

I can only make 5/5 in the custom match area.

My kid would dig these quick play matches in that tournament form like Twistie has it in his youtube video.

I left a comment asking how he set it up on his vid but he has not replied.

Don't know what he did, but you can create your own match types in the academy. Maybe he did that.

I can get the 2 over 2 wicket working but when done I bowl again for some reason.

The match I tested, I bowl to SA as the Aussies, get them out for 15 with my second wicket coming on ball 2.6.

I then batted and 2 back to back cover drives caught out, sigh, and thought I lost but then I am bowling again.

Cannot figure out what setting I have wrong. I made a small change but have not tested, I changed follow on to not enforced.

Silly question - how does one edit skills of players in the cricket academy? I got to "Manage Squad" and clicked on a player to get their card which showed the main attributes and the various skills on the side, but tried all the buttons (this is on the PS4) and couldn't get to edit any of the skills

You have to go to the player tab and search for them.

You can search for team too.

That is where you can edit the skills.

Need some help on a couple of things.
How do you play the back foot glance like to fine leg etc instead of the pull shot ?
How do you advance a spinner and block ?
How do you sweep ?
and is ducking just R3 ?

This is not dbc 17 u should not go run or go for the second unless it's there runouts is not a bug this is the players mistake.i never have a single runout problem is with ur judgement of taking a run

agree, to be honest people get too excited with the aggressive running, which is less exciting than UK in the european union. If you want more runs, go for boundaries

I'm being a lot more cautious with my running this game. I soon realised that the fielders can throw better so there aren't always quick singles inside the ring or twos to the deep fielders.

The problem online is that batsman does not respond to cancel(even after multiple inputs), even though there is ample time to go back. It's definitely not a player input issue, rather a online response issue. It's an Online only bug.
