I've batted 67 overs with England v Australia and had 20+ edges. My first three wickets were nicked off to slip or gully. Then I had a forward defensive push that took the edge behind to the keeper and three edged behind off Lyon. I've also had three go to boundary. I can only imagine that people who are not edging it are playing a different game to me.

I remember you mentioned somewhere you play with default difficulty and not using gameplay modifiers. Even with the slider, i haven't got these many edges. Would love to see if you have recorded this innings

I can record my next innings, can't promise the same results.

I play on Hard batting, Legend difficulty, no sliders and use only the pitch marker.

I had England at 296/9 when Roland-Jones and Anderson were on an 80+ run partnership. Then caught Rowland-Jones at second slip. The umpire raised his finger, the crowd went nuts, my drink and crisps went on the floor AND I think it started my period! (Eeeeeewwwww). But what happened?
It was marked down as a dot ball and they added another 36 runs.
Now I have 3 full days of stomach pains to deal with, AND 36 extra runs to chase.
NOT a happy bunny. xxx

I feel your pain (the non physical pain I mean). I was playing as England v Australia yesterday and they were 450-5. I took 3 wickets - all caught behind - just like yours, they stayed in bat until I could get them out another way. I wasn't happy and bigant shouldn't have released the game with this big of a bug in it (pardon the pun)

Online game 5 over quick play why are the wide marker indicaters or lines are missing.

The default Five5 setting for wides is "Test match style wides" since this mode is targeted for new players wanting a quick match in online mode.

Also, I (and others) get it. There are issues in online and offline gameplay. Would suggest you put the bugs in the Bugs Reporting Thread and wait for the next patch before talking about issues again.

There was quite a big deal made out of the mo capping for this game but I'm a bit confused. Having watched Steve Smith bat quite a lot during the Ashes, I can confirm that in-game Steve Smith's batting style is just like everyone else's.

I've got the latest patch and haven't edited any of the licensed players' styles so I'm wondering what the deal is.

Was mo capping batting styles just left out of the xbox version?

You are kidding right... ? As someone who has studied Smiths moves (restraining order still in place) I can assure you that's not the case...

Interesting. Are you on xbox? Smith likes to stand face on to the ball and plays off the back foot a lot but, in my game, his stance is side on and he never adjusts.

I think it's just you as thousands of X box users haven't said anything but then most of them reside in the 'I hate Steve Smith thread' whilst wearing their "I don't care about cosmetics as the gameplay is everything' supping down first world problem beer... Simples, Padawan x

Bowling in a third innings and boy is it tough. I've seen an 80 run lead turned into a 348 run deficit. Think I had one edge, fortunately it was out. Smith and Khawaja batted for what seemed like forever and put on 180ish before Dawid Malan managed to loop one up and get Khawaja with the last over before the new ball. Then got a wicket in the next over with the new ball.

But overall there's seems to be nothing in the way of opportunities. Hard to complain about it being tough because that's one thing I never found bowling to be. And it's both demoralising and realistic to have Smith scoring a century and seemingly never gonna get out. That's until I threw down a half arsed wide one and he clobbered it to the keeper, because most of the time the AI middles everything.

However, I think second innings there needs to be a greater penalty/reduction in confidence for batsman, unless they score big or maybe above their average if a bowler. I have Bancroft set to conservative, first innings he got 31 from 75, second innings he came out batting like Warner or Sehwag and smashed a 50 ball 50. Anyway, I need another five wickets and might get them by 2019.

It's really strange for new players defying cricket rules

Well, I might have just disabled his batting style in game modifiers or something because my Steve Smith is just like Joe Smith from the local village team...apart from the 80+ runs per game, that is

It should follow the rule of a cricket game as it it.
They can put the option with ai as they are crap
