Geez what a thrashing, just goes to show that wickets matter even on a easy surface. India started well, but early wickets forced Dhoni and Sharma to conserve. Even though they got 300, that collapse cost them a lot of runs; India only made 37 off the ten overs after the 18th. With all these rather predictable pitches, it seems the final matches will come down to attitudes and execution, rather than squad strength. Who is too complacent to move their feet? Who is going to refuse to shell vital catches? Who can bowl six perfect balls in the last over?

If India wins today, India v SL is the final.

If India loses today, Pakistan have to beat Bangladesh, and they go through.

NRR does not matter because the playing conditions state that the team with more wins in the super 4 stage go through, which would be Pakistan in this case. (When 2 teams are tied in points)

well lanka only rested 2 of their important players Chaminda Vaas and Ajantha Mendis whereas india also dropped Yusuf Pathan and Piyush Chawla...gonna be a close one for sure...but i think lanka have slight advantage after a really good couple of wins whereas india have just come of the back of a thrashing...

Irfan bowling absolute crap. There is nothing in his bowling. He is a liability to the side, especially in the subcontinent.
I don`t see any reason why Irfan should have been brought on to bowl now because it is just the 9th over and RP was bowling well.

I can foresee a Jayasuriya sizzler today.

The wheels are starting to come off for the Indians. Irfan is bowling rubbish out there. I cannot see what keeps him is the team.

India will most probably end up losing this one and as a result all the momentum that we had gathered inthe past few months.
We are a batsman short here and we will be chasing a 300+ total here.

They are still bowling nonsense. They should hang themselves if Kapugedera manages to score here.
We must attack them and try to get wickets because the Sri Lankan midlle order is nothing great and only consists of Dilshan,Silva and Kapugedera who are hardly intimidating.
