That would be a spell of doom tbh. Both Fakhar and Imam are good, consistent batsmen and should open the batting. The problem is that the middle order (Babar included) takes too much time to settle down and even when they try and up the ante, they finish with rather average strike rate which hurts Pakistan's chances to post a big score more often than not.Whatever little I have seen Sarfaraz Khan bat he has done better batting as opener than other positions compared can be a ideal opener with Fakhar Zaman.
It is great that Junaid is in form. Now Pakistan can give Amir some rest and let him come back fresh and full of confidence like what England did with Moeen and you could see the difference that made in Moeen's game. Amir hasn't been at his best and a bit of break from the sport at the top level might get him to his best again.
